do you write for or run a gaming site?

I hope so guy. :)
Most of frenchmen do love american people and country... it's not what american media say, but be sure that this is the truth. There is no massive anti-americanism in France.

But I think we're off-topic when saying that. :D

I just make bad jokes, don't pay attention to me ;)

MarkRyan, the best comics are british :D
IGN provides very good material... I think it is the foreign website I like the most with GameFront. And we do know some IGN writers well there...

Oy, British humor. Generally I find it horrendous :D But I do love me some Monty Python.

Who do you know at IGN?

JeuxFrance.com for me. ;)

Question...

Where the hell do the French get all that game artwork from?

Seriously, both you and Game-Kult somehow get more artwork for games [especially Nintendo] than the Nintendo UK and Nintendo US press sites together. Is there some sort of secret society of Nintendo France which just sends artwork every which way, or do you get access from a Japanese press site that nobody else seems to know about? :)

Nah, Americans are the best comics. I get my humor from my German roots.

Err, to be on topic, I run the guides channel at IGN.

GERMAN comedy concerning BOTH Jews AND France?? That can only mean one thing....

Also, I regularly post on the gaming-age forums. Hehehe...

Seriously, I did write a couple articles for Gaming-Age, though. I keep wanting to get back into the mix of the whole fansite craze, but I haven't had any opportunities come my way yet.

I was wondering the same actually. Jeux-France is really impressing me with all their media. Anyway, I didn't link it before, I am a Senior News Editor for DS Advanced

I'd write reviews for free. I used to do reader reviews at a few boards, but they always went under. Last review I did was for VF4

I run http://www.planetgamecube.com.

I used to run http://www.nformant.net

If anyone remembers the heydays of the Nformant, please speak up...that would make my day. James, you don't count.

The site that posted the N64 controller render back in '95 was most likely N64HQ, which was the preeminent N64 site (even more popular than IGN64) until its founders voluntarily closed the site down in 1997 or 98. Some of the staff retired for good; others founded the 64Source, and/or OPN2000, and/or N2000HQ. The latter two eventually merged to form PlanetN2000, which eventually became PGC.

nintendo press kit :)

Let me see, I used to be the news editor and writer staffer for www.etoychest.org a couple of years back but left after getting bored from the tedium that is the daily news grind as well as my university scheduling always conflicting with wirting articles reviews and whatnot.

I was also general manager of the Games divison of www.torchthebridge.com around the same tiemframe back when we were actually trying to get this "content" idea to work, though, well, let us say it all ended badly.

Anyway, these days I have since transfered over to the moderation side of things over at the bridge, as well as admining another site, which I find to be despite some occasional road bumps and so forth, much more enjoyable then that other junk.

Indeed, I used to work for N64HQ, then 64Source, then GA. The glory days of the former and latter were indeed glorious.

What is Capscott doing these day?

He very briefly joined PlanetN2000 back even before I came on, probably in '99, but I'm not sure if he ever even posted anything. I seem to remember that he had a small, short-lived site of his own around the same time. It was somehow related to Nintendo stuff, but he wasn't aiming to recreate the N64HQ, that's for sure.

I've been a pro-game writer for about 10 years now. Contributing Editor at PCG, CGM, long stints with OGR (the original one), GameCenter, Daily Radar, GameSpy, Games Domain, Inquest, Wizard and I've been published in Sports Illustrated, USA Today, LapTop, TechEdge, Maximum PC, CNN, and more.

But right now I'm focussing on my own site, http://www.GamerDad.com.

I write news and reviews (sometimes articles too) for the Belgian website www.x-power.be ... it's completely in Dutch though, so most of you probably won't understand 90% of what's on the site :)

He dropped out of the business entirely. I think he went to school and became a technical writer, or something. He's still got a page out there somewhere, but archives aside it has little to do with games.

I used to visit Nformant many, many years ago. I remember the design was very plain (text on a black background) but the articles were interesting.
