I'm listening to Salvation right now, and damn, I forgot about all of their good songs. The Cranberries unfortunately kind of died out in the mid 90's, but I think they had some good songs regardless.

I love The Cranberries, I still listen to them on a semi-regular basis.

My favorite song for them is probably "Just My Imagination"

I was just thinking about them for the first time in 8 years. When I listened to them again I was kind of dissapointed. I kind of recalled them having more chutzpah.

Listening to them right now. Awesome band. To The Faithful Departed and No Need to Argue are both great CD's.

To the Faithful Departed rocks

I JUST SHOT JOHN LENNON!

Of course, the "Do you remember?" song was amazing even if it was super-creepy.

I hated the Cranberries. The lead singer always tried to sound like Sinead O'Connor, but her voice wasn't as good.

:lol :lol :lol

I didn't care for the Cranberries at all. It didn't help that for a long time, thanks to her accent, I thought those lyrics went, "Did you have to pull my finger?"

I would've liked that band a lot more if they didn't think grunting was an acceptable substitute for lyrics.

A buddy of mine absolutely loved the Cranberries and tried to get me to go to a concert with him...I refused. I tried to explain to him how pathetically bad the lyrics were but he kept trying to insist how "deep" the zombie lyrics were:

"With their tanks and their bombs,
And their bombs and their guns. " :lol

The Cranberries are on the cosmically huge list of bands that I could only say a single good thing about: At least they're not U2.

Thank God, there are many, many, many bands for which that is true.

Anyway Cranberries, alright, Zombie was good, video rocked, but goddam MTV would never play it, only the live version from some MTV sponsered concert.

Veruca Salt fucking rocked!

One of the first bands I saw in concert when I was like 13, me and my buddy were so excited to see them lol

Then they had to go and break up :s

:lol You crack me up on a near daily basis.
I'll agree that U2 has been pretty weak for a while, but you gotta admit - up to The Joshua Tree, they were a good band. After that, things got kinda blah.

Once maybe, back when men rode around on horse, jousting with each other and there were dragons and witches and stuff (or the 80s as it's also know).

Even the mighty, mighty Eno, my lord and savior, only managed to make the band sound tolerable, at best. And then U2 had to futz up their post-Eno work with claptrap like 'Lemon.' It's as immoral as filthy pornography, and not nearly as enjoyable.

Bono asked Eno to become a member of the band, you know. Twice. I think he's done a song on the past two albums. Not quite sure, but he's had a credit on the past two.
