Does anyone still actually own a Gamecube?

I was at the Redmond EB and they were building a little play fort out of used Gamecubes. They asked me if I wanted one for $50, and I had to decline.

:lol

I still have one but only for Twilight Princess then it's bye bye.

And it's not called Gamecube, I prefer to call it my "Resident Zelda Machine"

:P

F-Zero GX kinda sucked what with the "snaking" crap and all. Looked alright, but it's no Burnout Revenge when it comes to pure adrenalin. Did that come out for the Gamecube?

Yea, I still kick around in RE4. That and girls love Donkey Konga. Fire Emblems coming out soon too.

i know this is a troll thread, but still, yes, i have one, and i love it :) i love all my consoles, i dunno how some people can just skip the exclusive on ANY consoles, be it xbox ps2 or gamecube. i play games, not companies

I had to sell all my game stuff to move. bye bye cube and 15 games. That was the most games I myself have ever owned *sob*

nope. sold mine after I saw how RE4 was shaping up for ps2.

Depending on how great the next Zelda is I may purchase another.

Thankfully, they'll be like $30 when Zelda comes out, making them quite disposable. Best of all, given the dubious quality of the GC library, I suspect most "used" 'cubes are barely used at all.

Bought one 2 weeks before RE4 was out.

Played RE4 and finished it.

Sold it 2 weeks after RE4 was finished.

Owned one for about 6 weeks. Gave the system a fair shake but it just didn't work out.

Still have mine, started playing through metroid prime 1 again yesterday, and I'm picking up Fire Emblem next week. I still play my import copy of Soul Calibur II, also.

Nope, gave mine away after finishing RE4. Kinda sad the system only ended up having 2 or 3 exclusive games that were any good.

still have mine. hardly used though (i probably changed my wavebird batteries 2 times in the last 3 years)

I sold mine to a co-worker. I'd really like to play Fire Emblem but I'd only played a couple hours of Donkey Kong Jungle Beat and some Alien Hominid in the last year so out it went. Note: the only reason it was still around was because I didn't think I'd get anything out of selling it. He mentioned he wanted one in front of me.

F-zero GX just wasn't fun. The track design was pretty but weak overall.

Import games are another good reason to keep it around.

Four player Panel De Pon (while not done as masterfully as it could have been) is the new hotness.

By the way, how come it seems like most of you beat a game and are done with it? I fully support threads like the new GT4 Time Trials one, because games should be fully exploited for every last ounce of gameplay they can offer. Playing games as if they were "interactive movies" is ok for once in a while, but let's not forget the root of gaming -- mastering skills and competition (direct or indirect).

If Nintendo and Sony had released the Nintendo Playstation back in the SNES days, what would have happened to Drinky Crow?

Edit: Oh what the hell, I'll bite.

YES I OWN A GAMECUBE, I'VE BEEN PLAYING RESIDENT EVIL 4 FOR 8 MONTHS, IT'S OLD NEWS NOW

I feel dirty.

Who the hell sells a system at the end of its lifespan? No one's gonna pay you crap for it. Is that little piece of cash worth not being able to ever go back and play any number of games you already own? I don't know about you people, but if the future looks bleak for a machine, I don't see how it suddenly makes me lose all interest in the dozens of games I already own for it.

Shit, I still have my NES.

I still have mine, and I'm been playing it a lot with Fire Emblem in my grubby mitts.

Off-topic:

That owl avatar is KILLER. That and the "I see what you did there!" from another thread today brought the owl back.

O RLY OWLS FOREVER!

I am trying to ditch my cube, but Mrs. Stinkles won't let me 'til Animal Crossing for DS comes out. Even tho she doesn't play it anymore.

Queen of the fucking Harpies, that's what she is.

Doug's off base with his FZero commentary, but I haven't touched my Cube since RE4. Debating Fire Emblem next week, but might not take the bait.

Oh shit, I forgot my brief stint with Kururin Squash earlier this year.

Gameboy player connected to it and I use it more than my Xbox.

I rarely touch my Gamecube anymore. After I beat RE4 three times, I just started playing PC games. Although, I did rent Battilion Wars last week. Meh, it's alright.

Once I get Mario Kart DS I won't be playing my GC at all, at least until Zelda comes out.

I still have my Gamecube, but the only time I ever play it any more is when my mates get together and we play some Warioware/mariokart.

Word. I forgot that, too. I'm basically on a strict diet of F-Zero GX, Ikaruga, Viewtiful Joe, Super Monkey Ball, Panel de Pon, Soulcalibur II (but it's kinda sucky that I don't have any sticks), DK:JB, and Mario Power Tennis, with a dash of Kururin Squash, Donkey Konga, and Smash Bros. (never really got into it).

But I don't think I'll be getting anything besides Zelda: Toilet Paper.
