I remember someone saying that the PSP could only recognize 1gig out of the 2gig ms stick duo he had or something like that.

Was that the question? If so, they could just update bios/firmware and make it recognize higher capacity memory sticks.

Yeah, plenty of people confirmed the 2 gig sticks worked just fine without any special firmware or anythig.

Just reading through the What have you bought for your PSP so far? thread and not one person has a 2 gig stick.

That may change though once you can run back ups off a memory stick.

I paid way too much for my Sony 1gig ms pro duo... gah... I'm pretty sure 2gig ones will be priced the same in the next few months.

That's likely an import cost (or the cost of doing business with Sonystyle the moment a product is announced). Sandisk is setting retail of 375 last I looked, and preorders right now for even the Sony's are set at around 350-370.

I'm not so hopeful about the price dropping below that this year because of pent-up demand and the fact that 1 and 2GB sticks won't start becoming that common until September.

I thought the memory stick was capped at 2 terabytes? It's academic, but I could've sworn it was 2 instead of 4.
