Dokodemo Isshou - Coming here?

Someone pointed out to me that Dokodemo Isshou was on the SCEA release calendar slated for a March release. Is it the PSP game or a PS2 one?

I've been slightly interested in the series ever since I won the DI calendar from the Bombastic (XI Go) contest. Got a nice personalized letter in english from SCEI along with a Japanese form letter. With so many... unique Japanese games coming out here (Taiko, Katamari, Under the Skin, etc.), it's interesting to see if Sony releases this here.

Hell my girlfriend brought this up to me today. As she was trying to convince herself that it wasnt coming out. I just thought omg i know what kind of a time sink it would be. I guess i'll just get the game for her and maybe buy her some Japanese books. Cause now she wants it even more than before. And she just got a psp so yeah.

But i dont think its gonna come out over here in the states. IF so i'm afraid there will not be a way to keep her from playing this game all day long and night for that matter.

It seems like it'd be the PSP games. Maybe its showing the shift in focus Sony will have on the PSP where they'll basically bring any of their Japanese games over. So if this one is coming, Popo should make it too.

What the? Even if it comes on PS2 or PSP that'd be insane.

But this list is weird.

It has at least two or three games on it that are definitely PSP titles (one called PSP Racing), but there's no Ridge Racers, no Mercury... NSFU we can assume is rivals, but the list just seems incomplete.

SCEA's lists are likely outsourced (Gamers.com used to provide their content, may still ... whatever it is that they do now.) It's a really wonk website, except for the links to official sites it's a freaking mess of consigned content and no editors to maintain.

Look at all the other Japanese/Korean games listed ... they grabbed a list of PSP games wholesale from somebody else, probably IGN since it has some of the _no company and (working title) markings that were on IGN lists of these games way back when. Same old spelling for Techi No Mon as well, so this list was last updated ages ago. Bunk list.

I dunno how the series has progressed over the years, but I messed around with the original for a few weeks. When you first started it up, the character would ask questions about you and your life, and over the course of the game would hold conversations with you about what was going on in its life and ask what was going on in yours.

As cute as it was to have the little guy sound my PocketStation alarm in the middle of the night to wake me up and tell me it just had a dream about riding the shinkansen with my friend Kristen, eventually its constant neediness started to stifle me and we had to part ways.
