Distasteful jokes in an R-rated comedy? Why, I never! They should just let it be. (not that I will be watching this film in the foreseeable future)

AIDS huh? This is something I probably would've lolled at when I was 15.

OMG I'm having a sudden revelation that I was complete idiot when I was 15 ;_;

Surface of Me

I'm not an NPC. And neither are we.
While Im all in favor of making fun of Donald Trump, I do feel this could also make fun of people with AIDs. Just change it to a fictional sexual disease that is worse than all others in the film. Then we all win.

Cohen, Adam Sandler and Tom Green should all team up to do a movie about incredibly unfunny comedians well past their expiration date.

I don't know anything about tom green's work (I don't think he was ever relevant outside the U.S), but how the fuck can you compare Choen to Sandler. their closest correlation is, Cohen mocking some of the same lazy narrow-minded stereotypes Sandler uses.

I do feel this could also make fun of people with AIDs. Just change it to a fictional sexual disease that is worse than all others in the film.

Because he isn't only making fun of trump, he is also doing something akin to this http://www.theguardian.com/society/...sitive-people-used-to-print-austrian-magazine

so using a fictional disease would only blur the message.

Every President wants to blow up children?

As if that is a natural inclination of all politicians.

"I just want to get to the level where I can blow up children."

Domestic policy, International policy, no.. "What is the quickest way I can get into politics and start blowing up children?"

"Specifically children. I do not want to fuck around with the elderly, or people of other religions, I just want to see children explode. The last 20 years of my life have lead to this moment. Where is the nearest child, and how can I watch their tiny limbs separated from their bodies based on an attack I ordered?"

How so?

Sorry I have not authored the childrens book with compelling illustrations so that every human in the world can comprehend the most basic of human thought processes.

Watched the movie last week with a friend here in Norway, and it was hilarious. There's crazy shit in this movie that you can't even possibly imagine. The Donald Trump skit got the entire theater in stitches. Removing it would be silly

At my screening last week in Amsterdam, the crowd cheered when it happened.

It's not a great movie and the comedy is hit-or-miss, but at least it went to some crazy places and had me gasping at times at the sheer audacity of the shit they were pulling.

We should be past the point were we are making fun of AIDs, it affects so many people who struggle with it each day and so many more families deal with the pain of losing someone to it. I'm all for a good joke but sometimes we need to think of the people who are affected by these things and how jokes like this portray them.

If all DLC came tied to $13 figurines, I'd consider all DLC to be free
There are plenty of things you can joke about - AIDS isnt one of them.

of course it is

Yeah, I would say you definitely can joke about it.

Wasn't there a South Park episode where Cartman gives Kyle AIDS? I know it's just a cartoon, but that scene where he squirts a syringe of blood into his mouth still makes me feel a bit queasy / sick.

I haven't seen this Trump-aids movie yet obviously, but as a concept it just doesn't sound like top comedy fodder to me.

In you opinion yes - im not a fan of it and wouldnt "cheer" of someone getting infected...joke or not.
I think you can joke about AIDS as long as the punchline isn't getting it. That's not really funny.

Now accidentally getting the smallpox - hilarious.

Oh look, another SBC movie.

Borat was amazing. Bruno wasn't good at all. I literally didn't laugh or even crack a smile once during the dictator. Like it was not humerous in any way.

Man the trailer to this looks awful. Not really surprising as everything scripted he's done has been pretty terrible.

Imagine how many heads would explode if someone made a movie where Bernie Sanders got AIDS.

I don't think that would really change anything? Unless it was one of his opponents making the joke or something,

I mean, this movie doesn't interest me, but nothing is off limits for humor. Whether it's in poor taste or not depends on the execution.

I remember watching the trailer for this and thinking that it looks okay mostly because the jokes in the trailer were sort of tame for a Baron Cohen film but nah it's just that the bad jokes weren't in the trailer I guess.

I feel like shock humor like this is just so goddamn lazy. There are thousands of ways of making fun of Drumpf but nah let's just give him AIDS because you know it's supposed to be funny amirite ?

Ugh.

Tom Green is a master troll though. I think he always knew he wasn't funny but knew people found him funny so he rolled with it doing increasingly bad sketches just to test the limits of his unfunnyness. I imagine he was a bit dumbfounded that it just kept going and going and going.
