Don't take lighters on an airplane, not even in check-ins

There haven't been signs posted or anything, but they haven't been allowed. There's a large list of things not allowed in checked luggage, like bleach, for example. TSA doesn't actively search for these things, but if they come across them while searching for explosives in the luggage then they do take them. That's been the case since TSA has been doing checked luggage.
 
Well they dont care at all at JFK or laguardia in NYC.. they see lighters and matches inside the luggage all the time and dont give a crap at all.

I had a lighter checked last time. I actually forgot it was in there since I never carry them.
