I have heard it before. My guess is that there was a mislabeling in the game files while people were mining them. Other heroes voiced by Scully are: Dazzle, Juggernaut, Sven, Weaver, Bane and Sand King. From that list, I can see the similarities to some of the other heroes and Morphling.
 
sing sing is awesome, makes me laugh often.

Also, played few games and I'm at point where I won't play again unless with 3-4 people at least.
I'm not a good player by any means, but these people.. just wtf
0-10000000 K:D, feeding whole game, clueless about anything, not helping in team fights or lanes etc.

What's worse it that the other team sucks too so it takes them FOREVER to end the fucking game, I really wish they'd put surrender button already, make it so it requires 3(maybe) 4 people and gg.

Right now Sing Sing is most watched with around 1306 viewers, 2 EG guys are streaming as well. Tobi/Dendi/Furryfish/dpm everybody is on that site, it's really handy.

And it has schedules for most matches too.
 
Just did my first matchmaking game. Was that three hero pick format and rolled Dragon Knight since the only support was Chen. Had to buy my own courier but ended up 7-0-9 which I'm pretty happy with for first game.

I had no idea what I was building though. How bad are the recommended items?

Most of them are ok, starting items are almost never wrong. It's mostly about the situational items that can be wrong. And of course a few errors here and there with some heroes.

I really hope they get the coaching soon. Just had a game as Nature's Prophet... man that was a nightmare.
 
Really loving Bounty Hunter. Been using hit and run tactics, but if there is a carry nearby I usually let them take the "last" hit. The first hero I feel really comfortable using.
 
Some heroes require Starcraft macro/micro to utilize them to the fullest. Furion for instance, requires constant minimap clicking to check if there are heroes that can be ganked.

Normally you would want to be the one taking the last hits. Once you turn level 6 you start ganking and reap the benefits of his bonus gold. Drum and phase boots are my core items on him.
 
Just had my first time with Invoker, without practicing just went into a game with my friend again. We won in 30 minutes and I think I had the most last hits/denies I've ever done in 30 minutes time. The list of spells you can invoke is really handy, I was mainly gonna use Tornado/EMP of course, since that's the combo you see EVERYWHERE. So I looked at those first, I also used cold snap, ice wall and ghost walk.

Finished phase/drums/sheepstick and couldn't even begin on my agh scepter at that time because we already won. Really digging him. Gonna play him more often to get all the spell combos down.

Only thing that bothered me was what I heard before, when you invoke a new spell it replaces the first spell, is that a balance thing? I think I read that in the original Dota it didn't work that way but I'm not sure.

Also I saved Invoker for last, so that means I've now played all 70 heroes in the game at least once. Yay!

Yeah, I mean. I try to be nice. Figure they need it more than I do. Sometimes I do "slip up" and fire off a shuriken and get it for myself. I just had a Miracle like comeback game as Tidehunter. It was great, a pugna on the opposing team was talking massive shit.. but we kicked their asses. It was amazing. Best pub match I've had, ever.

EDIT: That is my might gripe with random pubs, everyone is ready to give up in the first 10 minutes if things don't go their way (i.e. "winning"). Had a Drow calling "gg" ten minutes because NS (from our team) died twice. Told him to shut up and start playing with the team. So sick of that mentality. But hey, can't be helped.

I only reserve last hits for carries.
 
I'd rather have a kill go to Bounty Hunter than a tidehunter or a lich.

It is not like it is wasted on BH. He has a high power growth in the right hands.

Though I have played with some really terrible bounty hunters lately, one's that ignore jinada and level up shuri first :(.

For lanes to truly benefit, it is best to have one hero, normally a carry, to take all the last hits, while the laning partner, a support such as lich or cm, will harass and deny.

Bounty Hunter is one of the most amazing heroes in the Dota 2 lineup. With Drum and Track, you are giving yourself and your allies 25% bonus move speed.

Even the playdota guides (the ones I've seen) are outdated and IMO incorrect in the skill order build.

I suggest maxing jinada first. Get one level of windwalk at lvl 2. Get two points in Shuriken because his level 3 only increases damage by 50. Max the rest before putting the third and 4th point in shuriken. Track at lvl 6,11,16.

Do I want to be building Mek on him or should I just get something tanky so that Heartstopper Aura can do its thing?

Not that it mattered that game since no one wanted to support anyway and I would have had to build mek regardless.

Which brings me to another question - is it more important to build a mek or a pipe? Do you want them both on one hero?
 
A player named Tigerrr just let a match go on for 40 minutes, diving into the base the entire match because we busted him up bot. He dc'd, came back and got pissed for no reason, and started tossing insults and saying "Fine, i'm feeding."


i've never seen someone act so childish for no reason, rofl. Douchebags like him are such a bummer to run into. Everyone reported the fucker.

Necro can be played as a tanky carry with radiance, but there's far better radiance carriers. I like picking him against huskarr or heroes who have a lot of health or do a lot of aoe damage. His heal can really help against a lot of aoe damage.

It depends on the situation, I would go pipe if there's a lot of aoe magic damage or just magic damage in general (tide, lich, warlock, tiny, sand king, ZEUS), mek if you can't decide or there's a lot more physical. It's still good to get both.
 
I don't normally post these but this was such a satisfying win. Ran into a steam buddy on my team (didn't queue with him), had an Ursa on my team who was level 3 @ 10 minutes, and wasn't leveling up Swipes and the game was essentially 5v4. They just needed a friggen pipe..

Ever since they showed the reminder of reporting people as soon as match starts, I've been reporting people who are douche bags ^^

Really hope they try and clean the community.

Also, 5-0 with Bane and will hopefully keep that winning streak going for much longer! He's so awesome. Everything about him lets me play comfortably. He and Invoker are my like my top two favorites (both are assholes to be put up against haha).

You want to harass as much as you can to let your laning partner reap in the rewards. Your passive should be but a slight nuisance to your farming partner. I believe once it's level 3 it stop HP regeneration enough so that they want to be as far away as possible from you.

Or you can be a pain in the ass and go mid and have a fun time there. He's awesome in the right hands, and I believe I've seen Milk absolutely wreck with him. Should watch his replays.

Necrolyte is one the latest hard carries in the game and very good pusher, he is not picked very often in comptetetive play because of the HUGE bloodstone nerf. Back in the days, a necrolyte with a lot of charges with a bloodstone was almost unkillable and a top pick/ban.

The problem with playing necrolyte is that 95% of dotaplayers dont know wtf he is supposed to do, he is a carry and is supposed to farm, just like a anti-mage or faceless void. There are so many that thinks he is a support just like crystal maiden or VS, dont litsen to them that is just bullshit, they will rage at you for not buying courier/wards and prevents you from farming which is annoying.

Necro is a horrbile support, with no stuns (no the ulti is not a stun you use to disable people), slows and just a little bit of heal that takes a lot of your mana its just a waste picking him as support.

However, Necro does indeed buy supportive items like pipe/mek/sheepstick early/mid game in order to win teamfights.

The items you should buy depends a lot of what heroes you are facing.
But first always buy a soul ring and of course the tankies boots you can get: Power threads.

It makes your farming a lot easier by spamming your Death Pulse.

If you have very very good farm and think you can make it. Go for straight 15-17 min radiance, if not: get tanky! Buy a vanguard if the other team has a lot of physical auto attack damage or a hood (later to a pipe) first if they have a lot of magic damage. Try getting them both later but after your first defensive item you should go mekanism.

A sheepstick is also great later in to the game, for the teamfights.

Lategame, just get even more tanky with shivas (for additional slow/pushing power), linkens, heart, assault cuirass, if the game goes really late and you need mobility for pushing/defending, get BoT in order to skip having tp scrolls taking up a inventory spot.

Now how to play him:

Dont be a pussy, you are supposed to tank the most of the damage from the enemy during the teamfights, you go in and be sure that everybody in the enemy team is affected by Heartstopper aura and your team by Death Pulse. This is also a problem with playing necro in pubs, people dont think you are gonna man up so when they see you rambo in they think you are an idiot and pussy away when they shouldnt do that.

When you see yourself and other teammembers dropping in hp? pop your mek. Are you gonna man up against magic damage heroes? pop your pipe. when they still drop hp just keep spamming your Death Pulse for healing your team and damageing the other. If everything goes right it is most always a 100% win teamfight

Now with the ultimate, this is why necrolyte is indeed called a hard carry, it is ment to "Killsteal" with, the ability is for quickly executing the enemy carry and you have to really pay attention when you are gonna use it. Use it when you really gonna think that you are gonna kill the enemy just by ulting him. In Rank 3 it does 0.9 damage per hit point missing, that basicly means that your team only need to drop the enemy carry to ~45% HP, just by ulting him afterwards makes it an instant kill. Pay attention if he has a hood or something, it is magical damage the ulti does.

If your team rant you for "killstealing" with your ultimate and never using it as a stun, just ignore, they dont know shit. The stun is very minimal and it has a lot of greater potential using it at the right time. However you can use it if you are gonna get a kill and the enemy is about to tp away.
