A question to the more experienced solo mids:
why almost no one in the semi or competitive scene pulls the "closest to base" hard/easy camp? specially when playing a sure loss matchup (Puck vs TA, QoP vs OD)
seems an effective way to deny exp and gain lane equilibrium, control the high ground and avoid ganks

This can only be done on Radiant, and it's usually not cost-effective in terms of the EXP you're sacrificing by doing that. If someone dual lanes mid, however, you can bet the support will be pulling the lane at every opportunity.
not really you kinda wanna be boxing out the enemy mid while still keeping creep equilibrium on your side. Its like how you dont stack pull a dual-lane, b/c its better to just box out the enemy laner. Most of the times a dual mid is used to ensure farm on a weaker mid (ck, morph, sf) while controlling runes, while also keeping the enemy mid down ala 2v1

And on the note of creep pulling mid, etc: 109 is right, you can't afford to miss any lane exp in mid, it's pretty much the point of the lane. Even when mid gets dual'd, as he said, pulling remains uncommon, the support has more important things that need doing. Those being constant harass and boxing of the enemy mid to make the dual mid worth it, rune control, and possible roam with those runes. Not top and bottom usually, but jungle. Not all that relevant though, dual mid is hard to make work and rarely sees much play.

oh but what I meant was pulling the neutrals, and let your creep wave do their job (deny itself). After pulling you intermediately go back under tower to get those last hit.
I guess that is not viable since you lose a lot of time going back to pull. Perhaps it's only valid with a mid sacrifice Lich.
