Dota 2 Shanghai Major 2016 (March 2-6): Double Rainbowj

Surprised there wasn't a future of the game tease about Pit Lord or next patch timeframe, but obviously the more pressing concern of trying to contain the overall dumpster fire of this event took prescident. Probably want as little associated with this thing as they can.

So how is cybermatt going to steal his players money with valves direct payouts?

Really curious to see what happens with respect to the people who haven't been paid yet and if the current roster decides to take matters into their own hands. Assuming Matt is due some sort of cut from this event they're in a position to do to him what he's done to others as incentive to get all that shit straightened out.

Gotta say, after being initially quite happy with Sheever's and KotLguy's hosting, it became increasingly clear that they aren't very good at the job yet. So very little natural feeling moderation from them.

Does anyone remember that moment where the camera caught someone sleeping in the audience? I'm looking for it on Twitch but can't find it.

The practice room with everyone's equipment has been packed away before the players actually got to claim their stuff, so now everything is a mess and everyone is digging through stuff to reclaim what they can.

Truly the best end possible.

truly the worst timeline

its almost as if the original production team was just a shell company with full intent of stealing all the stuff or something kappa

Catching up on matches I missed elsewhere and reading reactions
Eternal Envy believed in himself, his friends, and the power of friendship. The strength of his heart and his resolve shone through, a shining beacon of light gathering allies to his cause. At times he questioned himself and his resolve waned, but he persevered and through his inner strength he became the champion.
Actually he got his ass carried by w33 and Puppey
Actually EE's fighting spirit rallied his team to defeat the evil possessing Team Liquid and they released the light once again upon the world.
I seriously missed the Dota community.

Man I still can't believe it. EE finally won a major tourney.
Kinda sad aui2000 is still screwed somewhere out there though.

Holy crap, why did they shipped their cars there?
This is ludicrous. Is it confirmed to be hotel staff clearing things out or could fans have stolen things because no one reserved the rooms for an extra day?

While I like the player Aui, if what ppd says about him having a poor attitude is true then he brought it on himself. I can't remember where (probably in a vlog somewhere), but ppd said that even during TI top8 matches Aui would be like "we fucking lost guys" and be a real morale downer. You just don't pull that shit when that much is on the line, you gotta keep the spirits up. Aui apparently couldn't do that.

Oh, I didn't know about that part. Yeah a defeatist attitude can be pretty toxic. It mostly just seemed unfair following EG's victory at the time.
Rotk is Chinese, he lives there.
Oh, I read that both Kuroky and Sumail also had keys stolen, but that might have been wrong (or maybe it was keyboards) since I can't find that post anymore.

Heres the real burning question

Since this Major was such a joke, will next year see PW hosting it again, or will Valve move it to Russia or something?

Because i really cant see them ever giving PW access to another tourney

Valve kinda needs PW though. I don't think they can completely burn that bridge.
