What a way to seal this wreck of a show

good sportsmanship from TL. Creditable 2nd place finish for them.

Puppey is one of my favorite players in the scene, great scenes to see him get another big win.

Congratz Secret

I'll have to watch the games later, but looking Liquid's lineup for the last game there was literally 0% chance they win that game

Really cute gesture by the hosts to try to sing the happy birthday song for puppey but I genuinely cringed so hard I had to turn off

GG secret, good matches

I am happy for PLD, I wonder if he's sick of playing lion at this point.

I'm sorta meh on Puppey as a person but he leads that team well and looks good holding a trophy.

I await the post major shuffle madness and for Valve's followup statement about this major.

Also I need to go check how badly I fucked up all my predictions.

Awesome major, if dampened by the Chinese incompetence (both the organizers and the teams). Seeing the new blood surpass the old guard at the highest level of play really makes me hopeful of what's to come.

we didn't see the same tournament then
so many stupid plays

just seems like you have made your opinion regarding him a while ago, and at this point it doesn't matter how he plays you wont change your mind.
you notice his bad plays and disregard his good ones because it doesn't fit your world view, that's just called conformation bias.

did he have stupid plays? yes, no doubt.

was he one of the best carries in the tournament if not the best one? undoubtedly.

It says “I want to be at cold palace" as cold palace refers to the the palace for the deserted concubines where emperor rarely visits in the ancient time (thus it is "cold"). However, in this context I believe it is a pun saying that "the caster pc-cold is too hot that I want to xxxx her". Not sure why the director would show this on the screen lol.

lol

Congratulations to Team Secret, winners of the second Dota 2 Major Championship. Having now appeared in consecutive Major Grand Finals, Secret advanced through the Upper Bracket with wins over OG and EG—each recent champions themselves—and a determined Team Liquid. Liquid would later defeat EG in the Lower Bracket Finals to set up a thrilling rematch in the Grand Finals, where Secret turned in a convincing 3-1 series win to claim first prize. After this championship showing in Shanghai, Secret fans must have their hopes set on similar celebrations in the future.

While there were amazing performances by all of the teams participating in the Shanghai Major, we recognize that the viewing experience and the overall execution of the event were very disappointing. Dota fans and professional players alike have high expectations for a Major event—expectations that we share—and it is ultimately our responsibility to make sure those expectations are met and exceeded. A Dota Major should be a celebration of the amazing community that shepherded the game from humble origins to the global passion it has become. Disappointment should come from the elimination of a favorite team in a hard-fought match, not from the experience of just trying to watch a game you love. With that in mind, we will be increasing our involvement moving forward to ensure that future events deliver a high-quality experience.
Valve handling Majors similar to how they handle TI?
