Gamestop is the worst, put $150 value on PS4 on their website and then tell me that my basically NIB PS4 (WITH BOX and all cables) is only worth $100 since they'll have to send it out to get the glossy bit resurfaced.

Dude in front of me turned in a PS4 that looked like it had been through a war, no box, only power cable and got $100 too......................

Edit: I thought AF was one of the better T2 Euro teams??? Losing to FDL?

Just realized if everything sort of plays out as expected, given relative team strength you'll get the Swedes vs Swindle, old teammates now enemies storyline in the lower bracket.

Sickening place. I cannot believe what the internet has become. People actually feeling offended and victimized by the "PC culture" because they can't mock minorities anymore without reprimand. Just how deluded can you be to come to such a conclusion?

Normal feeling for people who haven't suffered from any kind of discrimination, feel they are the victims of this century because their priviligies are being challenged by the less fortunate.

Cries of "racism to white people!!!" or my favorite "attack on (white) men!!". Not realizing they are in their echo chamber calling out liberals on their echo chamber.

Something like 3 merlinis was funny the first time, specifically because the 3 of them (Merlini, Blitz, Winter) didn't actually look anything alike. It was sort of a more meta "We're poking fun at the 'all asians are alike' stereotype by specifically bringing attention to these 3 asian males who look nothing alike". It got played out real quick and then sort of became the very thing it was mocking, but at least it seemed like it had a point at the beginning. It was still racial humor, but it wasn't aimed at disparaging the people of their race, but more joke about the people who "do" share sentiments like that.

But yeah, stuff like "The joke is he's a jew" is just lazy racial humor from a shitty community.

yeah this. Merlini, Blitz and Winter seemed to have fun with that joke too since they kept saying it themselves multiple times afterwards

the humour that some people in r/dota2 are defending is way beyond lazy though, and I hate that they try to brush it off as OK to say things like that

when a new ceo wanted to remove these subs user base cried about THEIR RIGHTS!!@!@ and forced her to quit.

I've never really caught anything from pro players from watching streams or following them on social media that would be indicative of racist/sexist/etc undertones, unless I just missed it.

Pro players seem to just shit on each other regardless of it being banter or real. It's trashy behavior but probably more accepted since it happens in sports as well and Valve doesn't really have any type of behavior policy that I am aware of.

Bulldog drops N-bombs regularly and is misogynistic in virtually all of his streaming sessions I watched. Needless to say, he's not getting my attention anymore. Seeing a rich, white kid circlejerk with his racist followers is disgusting.

Furthermore, he discriminates against handicapped and homosexual people, but good luck educating him and his fans into not using "retarded" or "gay" as insults. The Dota 2 community is utter fucking garbage and r/dota2 does my head in whenever I dare to visit it for news. It got overrun by alt-right early twenties who compete for edginess.

Subs like the Donald appeared after she left I thought. Lots of hate subs like fatpeoplehate were in fact removed. The issue tho was that a small amount of hate racist sub's were actually removed. They seemed to focus a lot on fatpeoplehatte, but they didn't go further even when questioned by posters about why other hate subs weren't being removed.

If I remember correctly she was also called out because she didn't even know how the website worked.

People also got to remember each sub has its own mods. The Dota 2 Reddit and Reddit as a whole might as well be considered two different communities.

They are both trash, but in different ways.

Oh yeah I don't watch Bulldog, mainly due to timezone differences. That sucks though, wasn't planning on watching him but guess I'll avoid him completely now. Isn't he still sponsored to stream by Alliance? I wonder how sponsors feel if so.

I usually just watch NA salt when I'm home after work/night.



Also wasn't Fear's arm literally the reason he couldn't play? Like it was a real physical condition that prevented him from playing?

Maybe it's to allow him to get to Boston on Valve's wallet instead of the organization. Valve may be getting cheap so they're just paying for 5 players + Sub.
