I'm not familiar with the names, but does anyone know if it's possible to use those download programs that let you resume downloads if you get disconnected with a chat program like AIM, MSN or ICQ? Meaning, if I'm sending something to another person and they have one of those apps, can they resume d/l from the percent they left off at if I get disconnected?

Well bit torrent will let you resume where you left off, BUT bit torrent does not work for all downloads, only certain ones (torrent dls). As far as finding a client that will allow you to stop and resume all downloads at your pleasure; sorry buddy i dont know of one.

AIM will let you resume a file transfe if it got cut off mid-way
