Darn great OT

I'm on the fence. Should get the deluxe or the ultimate edition? I saved for the Ultimate Edition but the reviews aren't high enough and im afraid i wont like the game :/

Do we know if in fight transformation is in or is it just picking the characters form in the roster?

You have in fight transformations. You can start as Gogeta from the get go or use base Goku and work your way through it to transform, assuming you have vegeta on your team.

How does this game work? Will it tell me the entire story of DBZ and super without me having to watch 100s of hours of anime?
No interest in PVP but the gameplay looks fun, I did like DBZ in my youth.

I would go for the deluxe. Statue quality doesn't seem to be worth the money, compared with other Dragon Ball games.

That's the Premium Edition. The ultimate Edition comes with a Super Shenron Summon and a Cosmetic Pack.

Decided to pick the Deluxe. I was planing to get the Ultimate but i wasnt expecting SH2 to get stellar review

I'm not familiar with Dragon Ball, not counting arcade games in the early-to-mid 90s, have only played DBZ Fighters (which I like) and Kakarot (which wasn't my cup of tea). Should I?

If you liek fighting games, you might like this

yes.

Tenkaichi (this) is more about badassery/fun than memorizing combos and getting gud.

its fucking awesome

Think of this as Burnout and FighterZ as Forza

My bad, you're right, got confused there.

Weirdly enough there's no OG Music pack in any edition. They know what they're doing :pie_roffles:

Anyone try it on the steam deck yet? I'm curious how it holds up (and whether or not it can play online due to the anti cheats)
Is that the biggest roster of all time for a fighting game?
second biggest after Tobal 2 but otherwise definitely. Its a few characters higher than BT3

Comparatively the raging blast games have half this roster count

What's BT3?

I don't have time to play but I just jumped in and had a quick look around, there are a ton of things to unlock at the shop. Not just characters.

The controls in this game SUUUUUUUCK
Training is definitely required to understand the controls here. There are dozens of moves to understand and learn. Punches and kicks will only take you so far in this one.

It is really a sight to behold once you get a good grasp of it though so hang in there.

Im embarrassed to admit I'm getting my ass kicked by Oozaru Vegeta. This is like the fourth match, why is it so damn hard already 🤣

Anyone completed Advanced Training - "Sparking! Combos" yet?

Some of these moves are really difficult to pull off.

I don't have the game yet, but I've been reading that there is quite a stepping learning curve in this, which is pretty neat.

OG BT3 was also easy to get on, hard to master. They're keeping the trend.

I LOVE DBZ.

I think Super is trash, the artstyle is horrible and the new characters are lame, except some ones like Jiren.

No Crossplay is also absolute trash considering it's 2024 and launching a fighting game without crossplay is absolutely retarded.

Some of the roster is so stupid.

We get 20 goku's but we can't get some Z movie outfits? Cant get Future Trunks? Cmon now Bandai Scamco.

I get it and agree with your point, but this is probably the most milkable Dragon Ball game in decades. We could see this coming from a mile away.
