‘Dreamfall: The Longest Journey’ to be launched spring 2006
Highly anticipated adventure game to be released for Xbox and Windows next spring
Durham, USA – August 26, 2005 – Funcom announces that ‘Dreamfall: The Longest Journey’ has been rescheduled to launch in the spring of 2006. The highly anticipated adventure title was initially slated for a Q4 2005 release. Now Funcom has decided to allow for additional months of development. This ensures the highest possible quality while making sure the game reaches the market in a more favourable timeslot. The game will be released simultaneously on Xbox and Windows.

Since Funcom announced ‘Dreamfall’, the game has topped the wish lists of adventure gamers worldwide, as well as winning “Best Adventure Game of E3” awards from Gamespot.com, Gamespy.com and IGN.com. As a follow-up to ‘The Longest Journey’, one of the best adventure games of all times according to the critics, ‘Dreamfall’ takes the genre in a new and bold direction. Direct action, an interactive 3D world, stealth elements, combat and numerous action adventure mechanics are only a few of the many features in ‘Dreamfall’, yet with the classic adventure game at heart. The game features a mature and action-filled storyline, where breathtaking music, stunning graphics and fascinating characters take you on an epic journey of exploration and adventure as you have never experienced before.

“Quality is what our company is all about and is always the core focus while we develop games,” said Trond Arne Aas, CEO of Funcom. “We believe that the new release window for ‘Dreamfall’ will allow us to deliver a game for the ages as opposed to a contemporary classic. At the same time we see that the market potential for ‘Dreamfall’ is greater after the busy holiday period. The new release window will mean that the title receives the attention it deserves.”

More information about the game can be found on the official website www.dreamfall.com

Drømmefall

I never got around to playing the first game... and it's a bitch to get hold of these days :(
What's so good about it?

Its a bitch to get ahold of? I just bought another copy off amazon for 10 bucks...i remember gamestop having it too.

It's not hard to find... my local Target (and, I'd guess, a lot of other chains) had a ton of copies in those jewel-case-sized cardboard boxes in the budget software section, as of a few days ago.

I'm talking about the norwegian edition ... we have a semi celebrity doing April's voice.

The english edition is no problem to get hold of :)
