Interview with NDS Art:
Apparently DSgaming.co.uk are going to do an interview with him as well. DSgaming also happens to be one of the links on the official site (the other being Nintendo.com, although don't take that to mean this is officially sponsored. It clearly isn't).
This could of course still be fake. If it is and you, I don't know, wan't to wreak FURIOUS VENGEANCE, you can find dejital (the guy helping host for this thing) at 4colorrebellion.com... I really hope it's real. It'd be awesome for the non-online multiplayer games.
Only one more day, we'll see...
DSlinkup will most likely be beta-released on April 11, 2005 and feature revolutionary software that only Jadrule could finally complete. It allows each DS user to create their own LinkTag and connect to other DS users around the globe using the DS wireless multiplayer feature. Each user will need to be in a wifi hotspot or own a 802.11b router or faster. See you on April 11!
DSLinkup has already been tested and successful connections have been across Europe and Italy, and one successful connection has made across to the United States. The reason this software will not be released until at least April 11 is because we want to make sure we can make the software work to all corners of the globe. We at Jadrule are working hard and will be sure to keep you up-to-date on where in the world this has been tested
Why is Jadrule the first team to successfully get the DS online? Because we thought outside the box. When other teams and companies quit when they realized Nintendo hadnt made it so easy to tunnel, we at Jadrule thought of a different means of getting around the problem. Deep down, I believe Nintendo set up this loop-hole on purpose. To avoid other companies stealing this amazing discovery, the software will not be open source

Interview with NDS Art:
NDSArt: When did you first announce DS linkup to the public? Is there any
signifigance in choosing April 11th for release?
Jadrule: We first announced it yesterday. April 11th just seemed like the date would be perfect.
NDSArt: With news breaking right after April Fools, as well as having other
projects fail to deliver in the past, many DS users are skeptical of DS Linkup. Do you have any words of encouragement for those skeptics?
Jadrule: They couldnt find the answer because they didnt think outside the box. April fools days was April 1st. We wouldnt have done it then..plus I dont have that much time on my hands. Nobody is that evil to pull a hoax this big. This is for real.
NDSArt: From what I know, youve gotten picto-chat to connect over the DS Linkup software. How many users were you able to connect? Is there a limit to how many users can connect via DS linkup?
Jadrule: We had 8 testers connected. There is no limit except to what the game allows.
NDSArt: Is there any Mac or Linux development for DS Linkup, or will that come later, if at all?
Jadrule: Not yet. Later we will see.
NDSArt: Will single-cart multiplayer games function over DS Linkup, or will it be limited to multi-cart multiplayer?
Jadrule: Both. Whatever the specific game allows.
NDSArt: Finally, where do you see DS Linkup in 6 months?
Jadrule: A secondary program to Nintendos online system. LinkUP will mainly be used for games that arent currently online, just regular multiplayer games.
