...let me know if I've missed something.

Are you just listing Japanese games? There's also Untold Legends (Dungeon Hack) for PSP coming from SOE.

I suspect PSP will get more support from Square-Enix, especailly if it continues to sell strongly in Japan.

Nintendo DS will likely get more RPG/strategy RPG type titles from Nintendo (Fire Emblem and Golden Sun seem like good candidates).

Sweet, Final Fantasy III and Shin Megami Tensei coming to the DS?

Is this all confirmed?

Yes.

EDIT: The two games quoted I mean. Have no idea if the entire list in the first post is confirmed.

Yeah, it's only JP stuff so far. Haven't been keeping tabs on US announcements as much.

Rhage said:

Yep. All are official.

Is Mother 3 still set for GBA? I've seen a few places that have put it down as a DS title.

Probably. Eeathbound 64's back on track and it's been ohh only like 10 years!! :lol

Baten Kaitos DS should be under RPG, really wish people would stop fueling the misconception that its anything like Yu-Gi-Oh card games.

Magicbox assumed it was PSP thanks only to the widescreen nature of the teaser trailer. The only official shot Namco released though is in normal television resolution... meaning it's not going to be a PSP game (unless it has big black borders on each side). Namco won't reveal the platform yet though, I'd say it's definitely PS2 though possibly PS2/GC muliplatform after Symphonia sold so well in the west.

Well, Pokemon and MMBN could be techically moved elsewhere too. I tried to leave the genres pretty open though.

Holy shit, back up, when was a King's Field game announced for PSP?? :o :O :o :O
Months ago, From made a few new announcements in November or October iirc (they also mentioned Armored Core DS and Tenchu PSP).

I'm going to be ALL OVER Shin Megami Tensei. Yessss...

Not to hate on the DS too much or anything, but I haven't touched mine in a couple weeks, and it's starting to irritate me. Has there been any information as to when Shin Megami is coming out here, if at all?

Atlus USA hasn't said anything about their DS/PSP games coming here (though Cadelcus of all things has been unofficially confirmed). They'll probably reveal what's coming at E3, personally I'm hoping for Snowboard Kids DS and Princess Crown PSP more than anything.

Didn't Level 5 confirm they were doing a game for the PSP?
Yep, Sony's publishing it.

Morimori on the DS can be nothing short of fantastic.

the DS may be in a draught right now due to its premature release, but with all the great games coming out this year on the system, people will give its respect soon enough :)

Seiken Densetsu DS is a collaboration between Square-Enix Product Development Division 8 and Brownie Brown. Some of the same people from Sword of Mana.

Is that confirmed? I thought Division 8 was beefing up so they could make games on their own, plus BB already has Magical Vacation II and maybe a GC RPG coming?

Whatever the case, I hope it turns out to be Shinyaku Seiken Desnetsu 2. :)

Namco "trademarked" the name Tales of Legendia, it could be the project MelFes.

I so want to play Magical Vacation on the GBA and now the sequel is coming to the DS and most likely won't come to American shores once again...I've heard nothing but high praises for this game...why won't NOA bring over certain games

Does anyone have a list or can continue on with this list that I write below of Nintendo developed/published/co-developed games that NOA has yet to bring to American shores.

GBA
Magical Vacation
Earthbound 1 & 2

Cube
Giftipia

I don't know if it's confirmed, got it from the Japanese Wikipedia page on BB. Though it wouldn't make much sense to make a SD game without at least Shinichi Kameoka. But I have a feeling BB won't be as involved in this as they were with Sword of Mana.
And where does that GC RPG rumour come from? Doesn't make much sense to me...

edit: btw jarrod, where did you hear that NOE finished translating Magical Vacation before cancelling?

GBA
Magical Vacation
Earthbound 1 & 2

GBA
Custom Robo GX
Densetsu no Stafy
Densetsu no Stafy 2
Densetsu no Stafy 3
Dokodemo Taikyoku - Yakuman Advance
Domo-Kun no Fushigi Terebi
Fire Emblem - Fuuin no Tsurugi
Happy Panechu!
Kuru Kuru Kururin (tho that's out in Europe)
Kururin Paradise
Napoleon
Oriental Blue - Ao no Tengai
Sakura Momoko no Ukiuki Carnival
Tomato Adventure

Basically, anything "cute" that isn't already a well established brand (Kirby, Hamtaro) and a few things that are just too Japanese.

Er, I've never heard that actually. NOE is translating Giftpia themselves though and they did Doshin.

Back in late 2001/early 2002, NOA officials kept promising tons of localizations that never came to pass. Magical Vacation, Tactics Ogre Gaiden and Fire Emblem VI specifically, though I've no idea if any actual translation was started on any of them.

Ah, nevermind then. Someone on another thread claimed you said it. :)
Oh and I meant to say NOA. -_-

Didn't Fire Emblem and Tactics Ogre come out eventually though?

:lol damn scee we haven't even a single screen or concept art for the game yet!

Plus I am not waiting to 2006 for a decent PSP rpg fix!

-Untold Legends: Brotherhood of the Blade (SOE)

..though obviously I'd expect more than that. Most stuff's just TBA, though Crisis Core is confirmed for 2006.

Atlus picked up Tactics Ogre (so yes) but the Fire Emblem we got was actually VII (which was designed specifically for worldwide release).

The translation of Magical Vacation started, but it was never finished...

ok jarrod lets go over this list :p

PLAYSTATION PORTABLE

Traditional
-Eiyuu Densetsu Gagharv Trilogy: Shiroki Majo (Bandai/BEC) - Heard it was lame
-PoPoLoCrois Story: Prince Pietro's Adventure (SCEI) - 2d RPG, should have been made for PSX
-Tales of Enternia (Namco/Tales Studio) - Old PSX Port

Action/Adventure
-Ren-Goku: The Tower of Purgatory (Konami/Hudson) Is this even a RPG? DCharlie confirmed that it sucks
-Tenchi no Mon (SCEI/Climax) - looks interesting, I will keep an eye on this one
-Ys: The Ark of Napishtam (Konami) - Port

Strategy/Simulation
-Generation of Chaos IV Another Side: Shin Tenmakai (Idea Factory) - ???
-Makai Wars (Nippon Ichi) - Don't like the art style in Nippon ichi games, plus i prefer Square Enix SRPG's like FFT etc

Dungeon Hacks
-Untold Legends: Brotherhood of the Blade (SOE) - SOE = :lol

I give this RPG lineup a 4/10, I only see one interesting new game there (Tenchi no Mon).

Doom_Bringer said:
:lol

I don't like those desigia games. Also the Mist Walker SRPG will probably blow your Makai Wars away.

Considering how much better the last two NI games were than either of the two FFT games, I find that extremely doubtful.
