...anything I missed? Anything wrong?

jarrod, I am not 100% sure but I think Castlevania DS online has been dropped due to time constraints, and that map trading is local only.

I've clearly entered some bizarro world where Nintendo has more 3rd and 1st party online games in development than Sony.

Konami never specified it being Dawn of Sorrow... I suspect it refers to the inevitable sequel.

I'm very much surprised that Nintendo has so many online titles!!

I hope this Nintendo DS online service works out!

Nintendo doesn't attend TGS.
No, but Atari, Bandai, Banpresto, Capcom, Eletcronic Arts, From Software, Hudson Soft, KOEI, Konami, Marvelous Interactive, Namco, SEGA, Spike, Square Enix, Taito, Ubisoft and Vivendi Universal all do. And they've all promised online DS titles. :)

It's says here that last year, Nintendo DS titles from Nintendo Co, Ltd were shown. So what's going on?

So is Mario Kart DS going to be truly online? In the sense that I can play my buddies across the country in arranged matches?

What exactly is the point of the discussion here?
Well, I'd like to know if I've missed anything? Did any 3rd parties make online confirmations at E3? Did Sony announce anything else besides SOCOM & NeoPets?

Yes, 4 players online. 8 players local wireless.

I heard that, but then I read an interview (maybe on IGN) with the director of the game, who said it would be 8 players online.

I hope so, 4 would do, but surely they can manage 8.

To show that Nintendo is better than Sony.

Thats funny, i'm playing online games right now on the psp. I don't have anything for my DS yet too play online.

I was talking more about the switch to TGS. Just people going back and forth saying "Can't wait until TGS".

Oh. That was just me being silly.

Really though, I can't wait for the once annual but now only held in September where Nintendo will surely steal the show through the power of their third parties although we all freely admit that nintendo should attend themselves TGS!!!

MoccaJava said:
No...the point of it being four players is that the game cannot handle eight. That requires more power than you assume.

Well that'd be disappointing, lots of games would really benefit from a greater number of players. Oh wehn will my 30 player F-Zero dreams come true.

EDIT: And I'm wrong about that interview thing, don't know how I read it like I did.

Okay, wild speculation here... given the publishers who's so far confirmed support for DS or PSP online, I'm guessing these titles will also feature online components...

...I do think we'll see some bigger 3rd parties take the plunge for PSP online (EA, Activision, UbiSoft, THQ, Sega) later this year but I don't think we'll see much outside that. It'll probably be like Xbox vs PS2, with DS seeing lots of online games from smaller publishers. Capcom making Monster Hunter Portable local wireless only doesn't really inspire confidence, and with Japan so slow to get into online gaming I don't think we'll see anyone but Sega really pursuing PSP online there.

Also, I bet the long rumored PSO DS shows up at TGS. :)

Lemmings for the PSP is missing from that list.
Gets released this autumn by SCEE. Supports downloadable content just like WipEout + you can create your own levels which you can share online...etc.

And where do we think World of Mana is going to end up?
PlayStation 3/PC/Xbox 360. Or Revolution. ;)

But Shinkyaku Seiken Densetsu 2 DS should make a lovely companion release. :)

Ah thanks... I had a feeling I was missing something. :)

Anything else? Did 989 specify if their 2006 line would be online? Or any of SOE's upcoming games?

"World of Mana" isn't a single game, though. It's the umbrella name for their new polymorphic approach to the Mana franchise. I'm guessing just like Code Age and FFVII they'll show off about three or four different games/products at once. Mana manga? Rabite plushies? Who knows.
