Come on, his Dune series, as it stands right now, is BARELY capable of being in the same room as LOTR in discussion of noteworthy film series, much less sitting at the table. While the first 2 films look pretty good, they are so emotionally hollow. Some of this is just the nature of the source material, but Lynch's Dune, for all it's issues, at least delivered a rousing emotional experience (as well as wild visuals). Hopefully this last film can salvage the mess of part 2 and wrap it up but somehow I doubt it.

Just watched the Spiderman Brand New Day trailer. God it looks like garbage. AI slop is dominating the Gaming board right now, but can we bring back the marvel slop complaints? Why do their movies look like tv shows? Do they spend more than five minutes lighting a scene? At least the new Fantastic Four movie looked like a movie. This is so amateurish after seeing what Denis did with Dune 3.
I bet this movie cost like $300 million and they couldnt get a decent cinematographer. The Amazing Spiderman 2 still looks amazing. WTF happened to Sony?

So far Denis has said he's done after part 3 so if they did Children of Dune he wouldn't be involved, hope that changes though.

It looks like there might be visions of the future or aspects of Children integrated in this movie. Villeneuve said he'd stop, but with how much money they are making I wouldn't be surprised someone else takes over for maybe 1 more movie.
