I pretty much played multiplayer with a few strangers and we all kinda did our own thing. People kept logging and joining as I played, but I may as well have been going solo.
My biggest problem is that the game was brutally dull and inuintuitive, control and combat particularly felt clunky. I played through a chunk of that forest area(after clicking through insane amounts of exposition dialogue) and pretty much straight up quit after getting killed a few fights in. Didn't help that the engine and world looked very inadequate for a 2005 PC game.
I really didn't spend much time on it though, but that introductory hour left a pretty forgettable impression. Maybe it gets better, I just didn't care.
