Just Million Dollar Baby; already got the French release of Very Long Engagement a couple of months ago -- it's an incredible movie, though, and anyone passing it up is crazy. I'll Netflix copies of Unfaithfully Yours and Night Moves.

Has anybody seen Wire in the Blood? I do a lot of driving, and I heard ads on my favorite AM station for the show incessently for a month or two and it sounded right up my alley. No BBC America here, and the DVDs are a little pricy to just go pick up... but anybody got any reviews or anything?

Release schedule for the sets, New Adventures and Xmas special? How far apart?

The first set – season 1 volume 1 – will be released October 18.
After that, the sets will be appx. 3 months apart.
The Christmas special will come out in 2005, just before Christmas.




Will there be similar releases with She-Ra? Is it dependent on the sales of He-Man?

Entertainment Rights also controls She-Ra.
They will obviously be interested in what happens with the sales of He-Man before they move forward on She-Ra DVD. They also have a slightly different rights split with Mattel on She-Ra then on He-Man, so they have some ideas in mind for the future of She-Ra that they are looking to Mattel to support.

Again, as a rights holder, you are always trying to bring all of the rights to bear on the market at the same time. When Entertainment Rights and Mattel get on the same page about the future of She-Ra, hopefully that will include BCI for North American DVD. However, right now, there is no date on the horizon for She-Ra on DVD.

We believe that Entertainment Rights is interested in convincing Mattel of some type of “re-launch” of She-Ra. However, we have absolutely no idea IF this will happen or WHEN this will happen. In both cases, we would hope to be involved. Again, we don’t believe this will happen anytime soon. Entertainment Rights has not shared their long term plans or goals with us yet. We will continue to ask though.



Will all 130 episodes be released?

Yes, once the 10 Best is released, all 130 episodes will be released, divided into 4 box sets, each containing 32 or 33 episodes each. Each of these four releases are on our production schedule. They will ABSOLUTELY be coming out – rest assured!

I caught this film during it's extremely brief US theatrical run, absolutely fantastic animation, even if the story is weak at points.

Not a perfect film by any means, but it's Jeunet and Tatou, how can you go wrong?

I absolutely loved Million Dollar Baby, but I don't think I would ever watch it again, so no purchase.

It is great. It's from the director of Old Boy and Sympathy for Mr Vengeance.

Lame r1 cover, like they always are, but the movie is terrific. I don't know if the r1 dvd is uncut though.
