He's done that a few times this year, with similar results; personally, I think he's fast, but not fast enough to be doing THAT to people. Those defenders bit wayyy too hard on the drive and subsequently lost their balance when he stopped on a dime and gave them the (slight) bump. Even Iverson never created that much separation between himself and his defender, and AI was WAY faster than Wayde in terms of changing directions.

He slid all the way under the basket and just sat there. :lol

Nothing "self-proclaimed" about it. :p I'm no joke, Darien-- I've played against division-1 talent before regularly in summer leagues and the like, and could have likely played D-1 myself (judging by my performance against those guys; unfortunately, I went to a HS w/o a team, and never wanted to play collegiate ball anyway). If you're ever in NYC, look me up and we'll play some ball. :D I used to live for basketball...

Couldn't tell whether you were just ribbing me or whether you were implying that I merely "pretend" to know what I'm talking about regarding basketball. :p

Hah, I didn't mean it like that. :p Besides, Darien's an old daddy-- it wouldn't be fair. :D (though I'm not getting any younger myself :p)

At least he didnt make the J :lol

But the refs called a BS foul on AK47 and DWade made both FTs to force OT where he eventually made the game-winner. The Heat still haven't beaten another Western Conference team though :lol

PS: Wade is just NASTY off the dribble. For a guy his size to be getting to the line as much as Kobe and Shaq is just ridiculous

Now, now DM-- Konex is indeed a hater ;) , but that WAS a bogus foul call against Kirilenko that game. It was after the ball had been released, on the follow-through. Now, sometimes that call will be made for star players, but usually not to decide a game. :p

I'd say that "for Kobe to be getting to the line as much as Shaq is ridiculous", but that's another story...:D

Why is it ridiculous? With the new perimeter defense rules (no hands), combined with the fact that he's more aggressive than Kobe is in terms of going to the basket, I think it's understandable. Wade is the perfect size for it (and has the perfect skills for it), too-- 6'4", so he's a bit quicker than most 2-guards, and he has phenomenal finishing instincts even when there's contact, and he has great leaping ability. He's just always looking to go to the basket, so that helps to explain it. I've never seen Wade use the dribble to set up a J-- he's always using it to prod the defense and to create openings to the basket.
