What are you talking about man? PS+, even if it doesn't change at all, is still an amazing value. It's not like they're ripping you off or something.

So I caved and bought a year. I'm going to get a Vita eventually but not until after three months (if Sony doesn't do anything drastic with the pricing of it) so a year for me.
I have a question though, so as long as the games I have are in my download queue, I can download them at any time after this month, right?

I have some games that are too large due to my HDD being full/not gonna play them right now, so I just activate them
You can see just by going to your Download List, or the Icon now has a red bag placed on it
Also 2 consoles/2 handhelds activate to PS+ content
Also if anything bought befoe November 18th, 2011 = 5 PS3 activations still allowed

If you actually use the discounts i agree, i don't however which basically makes a $50 a year rental service for PSOne/PSN games.
Unless they announce something huge i doubt i will renew mine, don't get me wrong it's a great service to have if you like the cloud shit and you actually use the discounts but to be honest i don't do a whole lot of gaming on my PSone, it mostly gets turned on to play blu-rays or to transfer stuff to my PSP and now Vita.
I wish i could pay more where i could actually KEEP the games once the service ends because i only keep it for the free PSOne games and the occasional decent/good PSN game.

Most are talking about the VITA and the "supposed" price cut to kickstart it's depleting sales heart and people going the Nintendo route of getting screwed with-in 3 months of handheld being released
Most are just hoping Sony would hook up people who took the plunge Day 1/supporters
Seriously, I have no idea why people with a PS3 wouldn't have this. You basically are paying 6$ a month to play multiple games, and you can renew that subscription and play them again whenever. So damn good.
I would likely have never bought and played Awesomenauts, but I got to see how damn cool it was through this. This is just great.

- Sony announcement: buys Gaikai/has a partnership with Gaikai
- Using their streaming service, they're able to let you play PS2/PSONE/PSP (why the fuck not) on your PS3/VITA
- Free service for PSN+ members
- Starting Tuesday, you'll download a patch/updated/app that will give you access to the service
- YOU CAN PLAY THE E3 DEMOS RIGHT THERE IN YOUR HOME!
I'm not entirely sure what else they can provide related to the plus service to really make it worthwhile...
The usual assortment of free downloadable games/avatars/themes/early would mean 'meh'.

I'm joking, but gaming related, I'm sure it has to do with something on the Gaikai side. But now it has me thinking. What was the point of getting it earlier? Unless Sony decides to only let people who have + have some sort of access to Gaikai early, would they really lock out the people who want to subscribe after hearing the announcement?
So it's not showing up at E3...because it's showing up right in your living room!

If you read the tweets what they are suggesting is there will be cool stuff come Tuesday that will make you want PS+.
So why get it now? Well if you are going to get it then you miss out on all the may stuff which is really quite substantial. If you don't want any of that, best to wait. But if say trine 2 or castlevania takes your fancy? Jump in. Might as well go a few days early to get some extra stuff.
I'm sure nobody will miss out on whatever is coming. At worst you will save a few dollars if they put the price up.
Well I already jumped in, and I'm really digging it so far. Awesomenauts and Trine 2 are worth it alone, but the guy made it sound like you need to get in before the conference happened, like some kind of early adopters type of deal.

I'm glad you guys like Trine 2. I just can't get used to the jump mechanics. I also thought Awesomenauts was kind of meh. Sotn, I've played a ton of times.

After a little Googling, it seems that as of now, no, but that's going to be announced at Sony's conference at E3.
