E3 stuff on G4TV now

That Morgan Webb is a good looking woman.

A little overkill on the makeup, but yeah, Morgan Boobies actually looked pretty nice.

We now interrupt this program for some more Microsoft bashing :lol

I wonder if the MS people find it disturbing when shows like this talk about how MS gets it wrong........like how they compared Nintendogs compared to Billions of gamers on X360....

Its almost as if they are saying "look at Microsoft.....this is the benchmark on how NOT to do it"....

Yeah, MS could have done a better conference but I think they are being treated a little unfairly....

Microsoft NEEDS to do something FAST..

Microsoft NEEDS to do something FAST..

Oh, they've got a good backup plan:

Periara is a dumbass - I'm sorry. That guy is the biggest Xbot known to man.

He's praised God of War endlessly, in addition to other non-Xbox games. Somebody needs to play the optimist to most of the whiny G4 Microsoft bashing.

I agree actually except for the xbot bit - he was all too happy to join in on the 360 bashing they were all doing. Besides, ain't nothin wrong with being an xbot anyway. :)

Dreamcast special now!

Yeah! I loved my Dreamcast. I bought more games for it than all other systems combined.

And it's a nice change from the E3 special which was a nice Microsoft bash fest (the bastards, they have some cool ideas, especially all the stuff ripped from the Xbox Media Center - and the hardware is pretty damn impressive too, just not PS3 impressive).

What exactly could they do at this point? They decided that having playable unfinished games on unfinished hardware was the way to go. Once E3 starts, people will get to actually play their stuff and I'm interested to see what kind of impressions pop up.

One thing that I think people tend to forget is that tradeshows like this are used to iron out problems. Now that X360 developers have seen some of those PS3 demos, they know what they're going to have to shoot for to impress people.

I just have to re-iterate how awesome the past two days of G4 coverage has been. I am absolutely floored. This NEEDS to be made a regular show.

I pretty much agreed with most of their points. Sony did a lot right. Microsoft was too confusing... and all over the place. And nintendo didn't show anything. I wanted to be wowed by Revolution.. didn't happen. I wanted Xbox 360 to prove that MTV special wrong. And what did I get? PS3 clearly blowing up the competition. And this is coming from someone who has NEVER owned a Sony console.

I found myself practically amazed that they were giving true blue opinions that weren't lined with too many crappy gags. Xbox 360 bashing a bit on the overload, we really don't know how all of it is going to turn out. But I do agree that they are pushing it a direction that makes me feel deceived. Is it going to be a game console first and foremost? Or some new gadget that "connects" you and shows who YOU are to the rest of the world. Eh.

Good stuff.

Not only that, but when they take things seriously and cut out the bullsh!t, it's a much better show. Most of the time they plat it off like they doing the show for morons and do nothing but insult the audience.

Well worth it to see videos and the conference highlights were nice. The roundtable could interupt each other a bit less but even that was pretty interesting.

I liked their coverage, looking forward to tomorrow.

Yeah I've watched the two E3 shows and have been surprised at how good they've been. I mean, for the most part they are re-hashing discussions that I've already seen on GA but occaisionally they hit on something cool.

the special have definitely improved over last years, easily. game footage on stuff that was shown less than 24 hours ago...i'm satisfied. dont care much about their round table discussions though, it's like watching forum posts on live tv lol

Yes, apparently a lot of the Sony stuff was pre-rendered and what they hope the games to look like.

According to the IGN PS2 guys on the IGN forums, Killzone was not in-game.

Ivan has been harping for months now that X-Box 360 will be more powerful than PS3. He needs to move to the X-Box 360 site already and get it over with.

Your post is misleading as hell, as all of this "OMFG Killzone is confirmed to be FMV!" stuff is. You make it sound like Ivan has verified it's not in-game. He hasn't. Rather, he *speculates* that Guerilla could not have gotten Killzone looking like that by May 2005 if they got dev kits after August 2004. He then makes a leap of faith and, with no concrete evidence, declares it a fake, which he is in no position to do.

I like how they broke down the conferences:

Sony
-------------------
Here's the PS3 and what you can do (tech demos, games, NVidia demonstration) and gave a clear idea of what next generation gaming will look like. Controller is a disaster and lots of rendered stuff vs in-game.

Microsoft
---------------------
Confusing. Something about human flesh energy, billions of people, Velocity girl makes a shirt, and microtransactions. Spent too little on games and showed games that weren't ready and didn't highlight games that looked great nearly enough. Nothing that struck as next-gen particularly.

Nintendo
---------------------

I think that as E3 goes on(once the power is restored) and the G4 folks get more hands ON time with the X360 titles I think you'll probably start to see a change in attitude from some of them on its outlook.

It's pretty close in format to that G4TV.com show that they have, except the G4TV.com has all the callers and such, which ends up bringing it down.

Either way, count me among the pleasantly surprised by the coverage thus far. If they continue this style of coverage for the whole show, then I'll be quite the happy camper. The "history of this generation" segment could have done without the character narrator, though.

Both specials have been superb, I can't believe I can watch 2 whole hours of G4TV a day and not gouge my eyes out.

Oh, and to quote my game-hating, G4-loathing wife: "These guys aren't being as annoying as usual, and she (Morgan) doesn't looks as much like a man as usual either."

What's that? Velocity Girl likes the NEW G4! :lol

Maybe time (a couple of days) will give them that perspective, but playing 30-40% games that are laggy, aliased, & otherwise unimpressive they won't. That's what will be tough for Microsoft. It's very hard to overlook problems, even if you KNOW they're going to be ironed out.

Cliffy B says GoW is 360 exclusive. No PC version. Working with Howard Phillips (old Nintendo bow tie dude) and Halo novel writer from MS.

agreed. the main reason why, for me at least is they are actually relying on people that know about games, or at least APPEAR to.

Plus they are not being forced to be morons all the time. (expect for Morgan)

Unreal Tournament 2007 footage.
