Just got this email today:

Dear ****

In our continuing effort to enhance the E3 experience, a select group of qualified 2004 E3 Alumni are invited to register online for E3 2005 using our Express Registration. This opportunity is only available to you if your registration profile has not changed from 2004.

To proceed, click on your alumni number below to access and review your profile.

Your Alumni number is: **********

If your profile has not changed since last year, submit your application. You will receive an email confirmation that you should print and retain for your records. U.S. attendees who are confirmed by April 15, 2005 will be mailed their badges beginning April 20, 2005. Once on-site, all E3 registrants will be required to show a government issued photo ID in order to receive their 2005 badge holder. Badge holder pickup counters are available at four locations at the LACC.

International Attendees (including Canadians) should plan to visit the International Registration Counter located on the second level in South Lobby above the Compass Cafe to receive both their badge and badge holders.

You may also visit e3expo.com and register online by entering your Alumni code on the main registration page. This opportunity to pre-register is NOT transferable, and any attempt to share this invitation will result in a revocation of your invitation.

If you are interested in registering for the E3 Conference Program and Workshops, call 877.216.6263 to speak with an E3 Registration representative. For calls out the U.S., dial 805.677.4291.

This invitation to pre-register is available until January 31, 2005.

Note: If any information on your registration page has changed from your 2004 application, you will need to submit a new application and two new forms of current industry credentials. Registration forms are available online to download. The Management of E3 reserves the right to deny any applicant admission.

Sincerely,

The E3 Registration Team

Check your email boxes, IIRC we got the early registration emails in December.

Man, unless Yahoo put it in my bulk mail folder and I accidentally deleted it, I didn't one! Were there specific requirements for the alumni program?

I got the more generic media preregistration e-mail back in December; did you folks get both the earlier one AND this one?

Got mine. The picking seems random or just wide spread. 1st time people got it last year for their 2nd visit.

Last year my friend got it but I didn't. So I called them on the phone and asked why I didn't get an e-mail. They said they everyone who went last year was supposed to get one and that they were sorry I didn't get one and then sent me one.

So if you don't get one, just call and you'll get one.

I assume they aren't sending these to the media. I've been the last...7 years, so I'd sort of expect one otherwise. :)

We're media. So not only do they KNOW we're signing up anyway, we're also going for free. I think this is an incentive program to get paying customers to plunk down another $300.

Who has to pay $300?

This happened to me at E3 2003. I just got in because I was media in 2002. But I didn't bother with 2004 so this won't happen to me. Oh well.

Hey uh... eXxy.. *wink wink* *nudge nudge* *50 bribe*

GAF meetup better be huge this year. I don't want to hear anything about people being afraid or two busy to meet up with us. It didn't evolve into a huge orgy like it did the year before, so I don't expect that to happen this year either. Besides, we're all quite friendly. :D

I'm not media, and I got my invite.

Zero dollars and zero cents.

I propose a GAF Media Posters Lunch this year... Because you know, sitting in the media lounge is much nicer than carrying that free lunch into the hall. ;)

Nope, these are invitations for the level 5 free pass. Got mine.. but some of my info changed so I'm gonna reregister when my W-2 shows up in a few weeks. After you fax your registration stuff in.. how long does it usually take for them to process and handle it?
