Wow, FIFA and NBA2K6 look damn near photorealistic at times if you cross your eyes a bit. The biggest thing they have to work on based on the video, especially for NBA2K6, is the speed of the animation-- it's a bit slow at times. The animation itself is superb, however, and really captures the nuances of the players' movements. I'm not sure about what 2K5 looked like in motion, but that was pretty impressive.

I downloaded the 10,000kbps version yesterday (chunky in MP10, but played nicely in Elecard) from Gamershell. All the EA stuff looks excellent.

Dead Rising and some other games also had the heavy-duty trailer treatment at Gamershell. Dead Rising's graphics aren't stellar but it really looks like fun, and they apparently fully intend it to be so going by the exaggerated features of the main photog character.

I fully expect NFS to look awesome when it's done (It looks great now), but I have to admit I'm a little underwhelmed by the character models in the sports games, particularily FIFA. Maybe it's because there's no fabric effects (yet?) and the animation is a little stiff/slow, but I think they could do a lot better. I know these aren't anywhere near final, so I'll chalk it up to 'alpha versions'.

The environments in all the games look fantastic though, just the models look a little off.

Wow if EA cand do games like this with early dev kits, I can only imagine what Tecmo and Bungie can pull off on the 360.

NFS looks great. I'm glad to see EA jumping into the next gen so fully from the start.

Fifa didn't look impressive at all. Looks like they need to add some more lighting or something to it, it looks very "this gen".

Need for Speed didn't really wow me that much either.

Madden looked good, but didn't show much.

NBA Live looked incredible. The detail was great (you could tell who was who from far away angles, and it looks like they even animated the players muscles flexing and shit) but that parachute jersey effect could get old quick.
