Cosby Show was legendary, until Raven entered the picture. And Fresh Prince was funny as hell, until Nick entered the picture. And The Flintstones owned your shit, until Bam Bam entered the mix. Most of these shows seem to jump the shark as soon as some new kid is introduced halfway through it's run. Oh yeah, Different World was excellent the first few years as well. I've watched all these shows recently, and they've had no problem holding up.

The Cosby Show and Married With Children for me (I even got a "Polk High 33 shirt" :D)

I find myself watching the Cosby re-runs daily and laughing my ass off every single time

Yeah, I also watch Cosby's and Married with Children a shit load.

Oh, and today I watched an hour of Fresh Prince. Where Will wants to have sex with this girl and she says he has her way into him but stops him when making out. Says she wont have sex until they're married. So then Will talks to Uncle Phil about sex using car analogies. It ends with him saying "Will, you can't have sex!". Then Will tricks her with a fake marriage and guilt builds up and at the point where she says "take me" he can't and tells her the truth. 2nd episode meanwhile was Jeffry being tricked into thinking he won the lottery and then finding out Will played a trick. That show kicks ass.

I think the biggest laughs I've actually gotten out of Step-By-Step were the jokes people used to make about Cody beating his wife.

(January 2002) Stated on "Entertainment Tonight" (1981) that his arrests for spousal abuse stemed from his trying to protect his kids from their mother's abuse. He says that his wife was addicted to drugs throughout their marriage, and that she physically abused the children, which caused him to intervene. He also claims that his wife then sold the spousal abuse stories to various tabloids. Today, Sasha has full custody of his 4 children, and his ex-wife is only allowed 5 supervised visits with the children every year.

and those daughters on Step by Step were hot, especially near the end of the series.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0003115/photogallery-hh-0 <-- that's Al.

A show I remember watching was Empty Nest. My dad watched it on Saturday night, so that's what we watched too. it wasn't that bad, kinda funny at times. Certainly more adult than I was, since I was sub-10 at the time.

Does Eerie, Indiana qualify as a sitcom? that was a great show and we desperately need a DVD release of it.
