I know you probably don't care, but the longitude and lattitude is listed in the bottom left of your screenshot, combined with your big red arrow we all know where you live now.

yeah, i realised that...

but nobody really knows how to read longitude and latitude... right?...... RIGHT?!?

On my broadband connection, it's still quite pokey.

Google Earth is jaw-dropping. I've never seen anything like this before....

The coolest thing is to locate a specific address and zoom in all the way to the house/building - then - you zoom all the way out into space. Then - as you fly back in - you get the sensation of what it would be like to fly from all they way out in space to a specific location.

This thing should be incorporated into video games somehow. It would be so fun to play various games with the ability to fly/drive/walk to specific real locations all over the Earth.

I think he meant what kinda schedule they're on for increasing the resolution of lower resolution parts of the world; like going to my home town in malaysia reveals a somewhat semi visible splotchy pattern, with clouds overcast... actually the whole southeast asian region uses splotchy cloud filled pictures.

But you're right. it still seems pretty slow on my connection, and with no real download indicator, I'm not sure at what rate it's transfering.

Oh my bad. I did look up Cincinnati Ohio (where I'm taking a trip next week) and it came up empty, so they have a long way to go.
