Any blurb about SMG2 available?

That desire to experiment is this astonishing game’s most dangerous achievement. As the adventures soars onwards, its various spaces become increasingly warped, and the final levels switch the emphasis from perfecting the 3D platformer to deconstructing it. Mario is rubbing up against the limits of the form as much as the edge of the universe here, and you’ll see worlds where ledges hang sparse in the air, and where ghosts plucked from the entire sweep of videogame history emerge in half-familiar clumpings of cubes or a nimble arrangement of switches.

Marvel at the pieces, but appreciate the whole. This isn’t a game that redefines the genre: this is one that rolls it up and locks it away. We’ve come so far, from stepping on mushrooms to drop-kicking meteors into the heart of the sun; Galaxy 2 offers a new understanding of where we’ve been, a new sense of wonder at where we’ll go next.

What Did I Do To Deserve This, My Lord!? 2

Glad to see this getting a favorable score. Really enjoyed the demo and going by this the retail product might deliver more of that goodness.

Lost Planet 2

I really wished this game would be getting better reviews, I did enjoy the demo but all these not so glowing reviews of the game is pushing me back on the fence. Any Gaffer willing to try and persuade me into buying this game is more then welcome to give it a shot :-)

So basically it's the greatest piece of video gaming we'll likely to ever experience.

Depends on what EAD Tokyo works on once they're done with Galaxy games. ;)

Not really surprised at the Lost Planet score. I didn't really like the demo so a 6 is probably right. It might also explain why the game is opening with a launch price of $40 around here. Perhaps Capcom came to the realization that Lost Planet 2 didn't turn out as expected and priced it accordingly, but I doubt that and it's probably just a promotional pre-order price.

As for Split Second - I thought the demo was fun for the first hour, but it got boring pretty fast. It started to feel like a one trick pony. It's a nice spin on a racing game, but after playing burnout, you really start to miss those 30 extra FPS. But, I think you can get it for $29.99 at Walmart with a $10 GC so I'd definitely pick it up for a net price of $19.99. You can't go wrong at that price.

The Scourge Project only got a 3!?

Never heard of it

Must have been a good month, the scores seem high for Edge.

Surprised skate. 3 only got a 7. I've been playing it non-stop since last night. Pretty much perfectly refined. I guess maybe because it doesn't bring much new to the table?

Curious to read the review for sure.

holy crap, so split second is 45$ new on preorder at amazon for the 360 AND you get 10 game credit. Glad i decided to preorder right now!

No Red Dead Redemption?

Maybe EDGE didn't understand they need to respect the huge achievement that is Red Dead Redemption, so Rockstar didn't allowed them to post the review before the release date.

They decided to make a weird combination of Gears and Monster Hunter but I guess didn't really commit themselves to doing it right.

It could have been awesome. I guess I'll just get it cheap. However this makes me worry about the upcoming Capcom games, they're having a hard time maintaining consistency.
