Isn't this kind of unconstructive, groundless trolling a bannable offense these days? I mean I suppose I can just ignore him right.

THANK YOU!! NINTENDO!!! BUT BUT WHAT ABOUT MARIO TEHNEEES?!?! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE NINTENDO, MAKE ONE FOR REVOLUTION LOLOLOLOL AM I RITE?

You know this whole "milking" argument? It'd be standing on sturdier ground if the Nintendo games listed in the first post weren't among Splinter Cell 4, PGR3, Ridge Racer 6, Tony Hawk...I've lost COUNT, Final Fantasy XIII, and Sonic.

Perhaps it's time to put the ol' "Nintendo milks their franchises to death" chestnut to bed. The company is certainly far from perfect; I sometimes wonder if their myopic view of the industry will be the death of them. But they're no more guilty than any other developer/publisher.

What the? Who is this fag? And why is Nintendo always the only one getting the blame for making sequels. Shit companies like EA make thousands and thousands of sports sequels and shit. We have 3 GTAs, 3 Prince of Persias, 3 Ratchet and Clanks, 3 Jak and Daxters, 17 megamans, fuck the list goes on and on.

So we have 16 confirmed 360 titles vs. 5 obvious Rev titles vs. 8 PS3 titles, 3 of which have not been confirmed (FF13, GTA, Sonic).
Do you get the feeling we're gonna see a chang3 next gen?

I can honestly say that XBox360 and PS3 are on my list. Xbox360 because I ain't upgrading jack in my PC and PS3 because there is a bunch of stuff that I expect won't make the 360. Nevertheless I plan to wait until actual launch of the 360 to see what happens when they blow their launch wad. If its not strong, I'll wait and see how the PS3 does at launch and decide then.

There is a zero percent chance of me buying anything with a Nintendo label on it next generation.

If those were the only titles launching next generation, sure. But since this is a race and not a sprint, its still anyones guess and there is alot that still has to come out and be revealed about all of the systems :)

See... For me looking at that 360 Launch Lineup as a lineup has the opposite effect.

I'd definitely be interested in playing the following:
Amped 3
Call of Duty 2
Dead or Alive 4
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Gears of War
Project Gotham Racing 3
Ridge Racer 6

No Interest / Wait & See:
Fable 2
Final Fantasy XI
Full Auto
Ghost Recon 3
Perfect Dark Zero
Quake IV
Splinter Cell 4
Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland
Too Human

That's 7 games, most of which will likely be out by the end of the year, that I'd be interested in playing. I didn't realize that I could say that about the 360's lineup.

Now the question becomes whether or not I'd be willing to pay $60 for those games, since it seems likely that that will be the MSRP. The only ones that seem worth that price, assuming a best case scenario, are Oblivion & PGR3.

The fact that I can get a moddable PC version of Oblivion for less money only makes the idea of getting the 360 version less attractive.

The other thing that makes me wary of buying a launch system are those rumors that HD-DVD won't ship with the early systems, but will be included later on... No one wants to be ripped off like that, least of all me.

That all being said, it's a better lineup than I was really expecting, and if it weren't for the amazing PS2 / Cube / DS lineup this fall, I'd say I'd definitely buy a system. It's still wait & see, I guess...

Where's the Kameo love?

If you wanna run around as a fairy go ahead.

But seriously, if Rare knocks one out of the park with this game I might be interested. 1000's of enemies on-screen sounds good. Better have a good frame-rate though.

they should call it Kameo: Attack of the Clones

LMFAO! Wow. I mean 0%? Some people are just fucking ridiculous. No rhyme or reason, just blatant insanity.

Nothing has been seen, or shown, and your 100% certain. HURRAY for people who are open-minded! Hurray!

Making fun of a conservative in your avatar is just icing on the cake, LMFAO!

I'm looking foward to the Xbox 360, though how many games I want will depend on whether I get a nicer PC by then as well and then I'd buy stuff like Oblivion on that.

Really now. I'm just observing what has been announced so far. I know there's a significant time difference between the releases of 360 and PS3, and the same is true for Revolution. There's much more to be excited about on the 360 for the time being, though.

Your reasoning still doesn't stop it being the most pointless point anyone's made a point of pointing out in the history of points.

It'd be like predicting a big sea change prior to TGS '99 'cause the only announced PS2 games were that A-Train one and Kessen.

The PS3 list includes the new sequal from the biggest RPG franchise, the biggest series from this gen and the biggest racing series. Real big shift there.

The 360 is coming out first, by like 6 months. But I guess the point still stands...kinda. PEACE.

Jonnyram, you of all people should be better than this. You're perching yourself perilously close to the edge of unreason.

First of all, as established in this thread, this was from the E3 issue of EGM, not the latest one. The majority of the info in the article came from that event, unless speculation/incorrect info is applied (No GTA confirmed for PS3 yet, and Nintendo pretty much left us in the cold as far as games go... so only obvious guesses need apply). I'm sure you'll do just fine at understanding the logic from this. This info does not include anything revealed at PlayStation Meeting or Xbox Summit (except Ridge Racer 6). It does not take into account the fact that, even as you admit, the 360 launch is much closer. It doesn't take into account a billion things, really, which is why such a short-sighted implication on your part is pretty ridiculous. And from an objective standpoint, just for clarity, EGM didn't even list all the games confirmed for PS3 (at E3) in the article - so it's not even a comprehensive breakdown. Same goes for 360.

So what are you implying, Jonnyram? That PS3 is going to have less developer support than 360? That developers are shifting their talents to the new platform, overlookin' Sony's new console? That the "lack of info" is somehow telling? And if you're not implying any of those things, why say something so obviously lacking in forethought? We're not even at TGS, for fucks sake. We haven't seen X05! I don't think much more needs to be said except that it was a pretty stupid thing to say coming from you.

:lol :lol

Hey, we've got over 2,000 confirmed PS2 titles vs 16 confirmed 360 titles. And there are over 4,000 confirmed PSOne titles. And there are over 3,000 SNES titles.

Uh, oh... No chang3 for you. :(

When one system will come out in 3 months, and the other one in 9-12 months, you might expect to know a little bit more about the former.

I realise it was a stupid thing to say, but look at the rest of the thread. My post was like Einstein in comparison to the rest of the retardedness. GAF is fucking my brain up these days.

It happens. I just regard you as someone who is generally among the more intelligent posters at GAF, is all. I just don't think it makes sense to pass judgment on any system until the cards on are all firmly on the table. Of course, we should comment when good or bad decisions are made (no HD for PS3, for example...ugh). But especially for something as ever-evolving as the announced games situation, I think it's premature to say much.

I don't intend to pass judgement. I'm just more excited about 360 now than either of the other two next-gen machines, which is kind of surprising considering that I hated MS at the beginning of this gen, played more PS2 than any other platform, and have been an obvious Nintendo fanboy for the past few years.

Bingo.

X360 for the win!

Though you might live among kings and vagabonds... why is it that you must always feel the pull of the vagabond?

No, hey, that's cool. There are converts on either side, and Sony has a lot more to lose than Microsoft does. 360 definitely has a lot of interesting projects. I'm especially curious about the original titles in the works such as Gears of War, 99 Nights and Lost Odyssey. I think perhaps it may be a good thing in the end if Microsoft couldn't secure a few of the higher profile exclusives (if things stay generally the same from here until launch) because it seems they have seeded promising, original IPs as compensation. Which is always good for gamers, because it's more chances for quality content.

I'm just a next-gen skeptic. Nothing has me genuinely excited for any platform yet. I dunno what'll jumpstart the spark, but it hasn't happened for me personally.

I liked PS2 the most this gen, simply because it had the best third party support. Whichever system has the best third party support next-gen will likely again be my favorite, if I had to choose. So I'm waiting for the chess pieces to move, so-to-speak, before I figure out which system to adopt first.

When you divide the world into two groups -- 1) the group that makes fun of conservatives and Nintendo, and 2) the group that gets offended by people making fun of conservatives and Nintendo -- I definitely know where I stand. And it's not with dumbass fanboys like you.
