I think EGM got mixed up on this one. It should be the other way around, right?

No. It was a Q&A about those companies jumping ship to Sony. EGM was reassuring xbots that those companies would still support X360, just not to the same extent as PS3.Chiggs said:I think EGM got mixed up on this one. It should be the other way around, right?

Truth be told, I'm surprised Midnight Club 3 PSP got the scores it did -- it's pretty weak. Still, whatever helps keep the PSP on top in the US is fine by me!

--Don't worry about that; worry about the fact that we think the Rev's going to beat PS3 and X360.
That's what i call confidence... :lol
EGM: You said the that Revolution controller would be unique-- do you worry about it alienating developers?
Iwata: Well of course, the idea is that the revolution will sell sell and sell so it becomes the standard in the industry. However at least for the launch period... we design the controller so it can play any type of different conventional styles. After all we're talking about it playing games from our past machine. so don't worry about that.
Wario64 said:EGM: Will there be another Pikmin game?
Shiggy: Nothing set in stone, but Rev's interface is well suited for Pikmin.
Error2k4 said:EGM: Some people are saying Nintendo has given up trying to lead technologically and is focused on innovation.
Iwata: I don't think Revolution graphics will be inferior in any fashion to those on Xbox 360 or PS3. Even if you look at Zelda on Gamecube -- I don't think that it looks inferior to what [the competition] is touting as 'next-gen' visuals

-Recently, Sega signed on Secret Level to remake one of its franchises. It turns out that Sega is looking for more developers in the West to remake some more classics like Space Harrier, Daytona and Goldenaxe. Silicon Knights anyone?
[...]SEGA and Silicon Knights will collaborate on creating a new franchise for next generation console systems.[...]

Usually when someone is accused of having an agenda they tell you how they own every system with 60 games for each. Proving how they are not a fanboy.

Shane (6.5): Sonic CD = awesome. Other games = not as great. Sonic the Fighters feels dated, dumbed down VF. Sonic R feels like clunky onfoot racing with horrible music. Streets of Rage games gone = bleh.
G.Ford (5.5): While Sonic CD is the 'anchor' of the collection, it's more of a wild card. Change-each-level's future concept is great, but steps to achieve objectives frustrating. Rest of games are mildly enjoyable (Sonic Triple Threat, Tails Adventure), to bad (Game Gear Sonic Spinball and Sonic Drift 2)
Jeremy (6.5): Sonic CD is cool, but most of the 90s-era games just arent fun. Tails games are garbage. Unlockables are lame.
ThanxWario64 said:Next EGM issue: All things Final Fantasy (Crisis Core, Advent Children, Before Crisis, Dirge of Cerebrus). Screens, info and all that jazz.

Being a huge fan of the original NES and SNES The Legend of Zelda games, and more recently its latest 3D incarnations, I was expecting Eiji Aonuma's mature reincarnation of The Legend of Zelda to be huge. Unfortunately, blindly going into the game having such high expectations was a mistake.
Being a huge fan of the original NES and arcade Ninja Gaiden games, and more recently the entire Dead or Alive series, I was expecting Tecmo's Xbox reincarnation of Ninja Gaiden to be huge. Unfortunately, blindly going into the game having such high expectations was a mistake.
Most PlayStation 2 owners should remember Sony's similarly over hyped Killzone. I'd almost go as far as proclaiming The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess to be the Gamecube equivalent.

gofreak said:The Valve rumour works on some levels (I was wondering wtf Gabe was doing talking about next-gen console coding) - and whilst I can believe Valve is working on next-gen console games, I find it much more difficult to believe that any will be exclusive to PS3 (or X360 for that matter). Unless EGM means a console exclusive - it'll still be on PC - but I don't see why Valve would favour one system over another for a PC port.
Bioware is rumoured since E3 to have a PS3 game in the works, but again I'd be surprised if it was exclusive. It'd be ever so nice if it was connected to the KoTOR rumours.
