88. Super Mario World : SNES
14. Super Mario Bros. 3 NES

Such an immense gap. It's unfair. :(

ok I admit, I like the mario party games when you have 3 friends to play with, but it shouldn't be on a top200 list.

This list is pretty meh.

Does that say Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow? If you're going to pick Splinter Cell, at least choose the best one.

Good god, that's probably the worst choice of them all.

No Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo, no Pikmin 2, F-Zero over F-Zero GX

list fails on the merits of those three titles alone

wtf, SMK below Halo & GTA? SMW down in the 80s?

17 : Halo : Xbox
9 : GTA3 : PS2

:lol *ignores list*

Splinter Cell: PT's up there so they have one thing right. That game was really innovative. Btw, those bitching about PT... It introduced the MP part of the game. I'll take the original and CT over it because I hated PT's jungle section, but the playing the MP for the first time was fucking classic.

No castlevania rondo of blood.

Failure.

also reading the list, it sounds like one of them things that weighs "historical value" waaaaaaay too heavily. I'm sorry, Pitfall was good one time... top 200, hm, no.

Edit: oh no, please don't make this into a Halo vs the world thread

Halo rocks, accept it plz.

194 : Nam-1985 : Neo-Geo
179 : Magician Lord : Neo-Geo
128 : Samurai Shodown II : Neo-Geo

No Earthbound either. :(

The most shocking thing I would have to say is that Halo 2 was in the place that it was. Being EGM and all, I thought it would have easily made the top 5. At least!

WTF?

Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2 is on the list. Metal Gear for NES is on the list. Heck, even Metal Gear GB is there.

So where the fuck is MGS3!? o_O

I'm surprised FF8 isn't up there considering it's the best game in the series. FFX is up there though and it's one of the worst... That's weird.

PSO belongs up there. The first few months of PSO on the DC were awesome. I wasted so much time on that game and I don't regret it. I had so much fun.

I hate it when the first, more innovative titles win over the all-around better titles in a series. Splinter Cell, GTA, I'm looking at you :cries

161 : NiGHTS into Dream : Saturn

116 : Shenmue : DC

98 : Strider : Arcade

56 : Sonic the Hedgehog : Genesis

No way man...

49 : NHLPA: Hockey '93 : Genesis ----------> :lol :lol

No Ikaruga? A 2D F-Zero? The NES-port of Donkey Kong and not the Arcade original?
At least they got the first place right. :)

too much nostalgia... I liked Moon Patrol and Centipede too, but I get bored to tears playing some of those "classics" today. Only a select few would hold up today.

GC: 5 (btw, list contains Animal Crossing. Fails yet AGAIN.)
XBX: 8
PS2: 12
DC: 5
SNES: 16
GEN: 11
NGEO: 3
TG16: 4

wait, mgs 2 is there but not mgs 3?
Once again, my point.

Seriosuly, call this the "Innovative circle jerk list", but not the "best games ever" list. GTA: SA>>>>GTA III, SC: CT>>>>>>>>>>>SC: PT, MGS3>>>>>>>MGS2....:sighs

The lack of gameboy classic titles is disturbing.

Gameboy classic, imho, is one of the worst popular systems of all time. In my view - it's just my opinion, of course - it had about five games total that stand any sort of test of time (Zelda, Pokemon *sigh*, Tetris, etc...). It was simply too held back by its technology. GBA is quite a different story in my opinion.

Oblivion: Who cares about N64, that system sucked

QFT.

I can understand that, somewhat, but MG:GB and MG over MGS3? No way is that possible if this is a best games ever chart.
I can understand Metal Gear 2 (the best Metal Gear game EVER) over the Solid games, but not the NES MG.

N64 had some of the best games ever in it's library.

Unfortunately the games that weren't perfect 10's all sucked.

Except Winback.

Winback fucking ruled.

no no, gargoyles quest, Zelda LA, Super Mario Land 2, Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters, FFA etc. Still fun today.

Adventure???

I know I'll never see a list that I totally agree with I don't get how games that came out in the early 80's can be better "games" than what we have today.
Being the first doesn't make you the best.
