Even community notes (as beneficial, non-partisan, and smartly designed and operated as it is) still could be argued to not be consistent with supporting free speech over all else, and the same could be said for the labels he's been assigning. And don't even get me started on what he did to Taibbi, or asking people to pay before their "free" speech can be seen.Exactly, if he just did what he said he would do it would be one thing. The problem is he said he had certain goals in mind for the platform, but everything he does runs counter to that. It makes him look like a complete hypocrite. Granted, nobody’s perfect, but this a real tour de force of ruining whatever credibility he had.
But ironically enough, for someone pushing conspiracy theories on his platform, community notes sure does a good job of helping people avoid falling for them:
