Holy crap, I know what I'm doing when I get a new PC. Incredible IMO.
Can't have a new page without Xenoblade pics
It does! And so does The Last Story. I wonder if the game is any good?Because the game just looks great!
This games is 100% playable on my system now btw (not at these settings though).
So it's better now on latest development builds?
I have tried it a couple of months before, but was disappointed :/.
I always thought The Last Story looked dank. The 360 got a lot of criticism due to its early games' grey-brown-bloom approach to visuals, but The Last Story is that to a T. Increasing the resolution doesn't salvage it. Must have been one of the least interesting looking RPGs to come out of last gen.
Not really sure what you're talking about there are a lot of colorful areas throughout the game.
There are also a lot of intentionally brown/dead looking areas that's because a central plot point is the land is dying.
I will take your word for it. I haven't played the game. I can only reference screenshots I've seen, which all seem to be variations on a theme: grey dungeon, grey castle, grey sewer, etc. I like Mistwalker, but all the media for The Last Story put me off wanting to try it out.
I tried to take some photos with more color this time.
I was thinking the exact opposite, actually. LOL I was looking at those MK Wii shots and thought, "Damn, MK8 makes this look at least a couple generations old!"Don't get me wrong, Mario Kart 8 looks fantastic. But I wish we had more flat looking games in high res that look like these pics being made by big developers. It's a gorgeous look. I especially love the totally flat texture of the building to the left.
Anyone else feel the same way?
So umm, at what res can you actually play the game at max fps? I've never used dolphin before but would like to play xenoblade chronicles and the last story so I'm curious how well it can run. I have a pretty decent pc too with dual gtx 970s and a 4790k CPU.
Here's more guys, different arena

The more cartoony look reminds me of Dark Cloud 2[/QUOTE]
Care to take screenshots of the vanilla and reshade versions in the same positions, for the sake of comparison? Depending of how big the 'improvement' is, I might want to replay TP!
The game could really use a HD texture pack but the ground textures are mostly good. Really enjoying the game though will continue to post more screenshots. More screenshots here in this album. Also PCSX-2 Settings and GeDoSaTo Settings.

$800 sounds super high for just wanting to run SMG at 1080/60.
I have no doubts that having an Intel helps alot, but I have an AMD running at 3.5 GHz (turbo at 4.1 GHz) + an Nvidia 660Ti...It is just get a Pentium G3258 overclock the crap out of it and pair it with a decent GPU you could probably do the entire build for $400-500 max maybe less. You could do even less if you skimp a bit on the GPU and play it at a lower res.
If we're not on an extreme budget though I would go with a 4th gen or greater i5.
Definitely, I prefer the lighting model of the GameCube version than the Wii U's version. Wind Waker HD makes the models look different, where they actually look rounded rather then looking flat like a cartoon (which is what Wind Waker was supposed to look like).

@flashbandit16 Pcsx2 completely ignores GeDoSaTo. You don't need it
