To wrap up our Competitive Fortnite three-part blog series, we are sharing the first details on the Fortnite World Cup and the $100,000,000 competitive prize pool for 2019.

FORTNITE WORLD CUP
The road to the Fortnite World Cup begins with ten weekly Online Open qualifiers running from April 13 to June 16. Each week $1,000,000 will be on the line for eligible* Fortnite players, with payouts distributed broadly.
The top 100 Solo players and the top 50 Duos teams from around the world will join us for the Fortnite World Cup Finals in New York City July 26-28 with a $30,000,000 prize pool up for grabs!
Each one of those players will be guaranteed at least $50,000 and the Fortnite World Cup Solo Champion will walk away with $3,000,000.

Not a Battle Royale player? We’ll be hosting additional events at the Fortnite World Cup Finals featuring fun custom challenges in different modes and formats.
Whether you celebrate with us in-person or tune in online to catch all of the action, the Fortnite World Cup will have something for everyone!

MORE WAYS TO WIN
We will continue to award $1,000,000 in cash tournaments weekly through the end of this year. These tournaments will feature a wider variety of modes and formats to open up the competitive playing field. We will also provide tournament tools and prizing to select partners to better serve competitive Fortnite in more countries and regions around the world on our way to awarding the full $100,000,000 in 2019.

Cores, shaders and BIOS oh my!
If only they had even as little as 30 million dollars as a new Unreal Tournament 2004 successor's budget. I'd be fine with an 1:1 remake even, just fix up some of the worse maps and make it even more modable, so we can get cool fan shit like back then :)

I'd be ok if it launched as a polished but lean on content early access with essentially just the content the amazing UT2004 demo had. One assault map, one onslaught, one CTF, a couple DM maps iirc and otherwise the same playability as the full game :)
