Epic Store Free Games

Stove is a South Korean indie game store. They are currently having a new year's sale going on.

From now till whenever the sale ends:

Syberia: The World Before

Register on Stove to receive 2 coupons, 1 for 50% off of any game and another for a $5 discount on any game.

There are currently a few games for $10 or under that can be redeemed completely for free using both these coupons at checkout.

Some notable AAA and indie games include:

- Detroit: Become Human
- Ghostrunner 2
- Art of Fighting 2
- Fatal Fury Special
- The King of Fighters 2002

And much more.

Just search any game that is listed on the store using the search bar and redeem the 50% coupon first after adding to the cart, and then the $5 coupon next by selecting "Use coupon" next to the game's name and ignore "Use cart discount coupon".

The full clip is even better. He was already complaining a lot.

finished the game now. pretty dencent little puzzle game. relatively easy, but imaginative.

so, sat down for 30min and cooked up this little audio mod.
it keeps the story relevant parts, and removes as much cringe as possible.
just replace the dialogue folder with this one, done!

Did you just... modded the game? Well, That Just happened. Whoa, this is so sick.

Wow all those D&D games free from Prime. I was considering buying those. Now I've got a whole handful of them. Also synced my Epic account. It's just raining games. lol

You might have the second one on GOG as I got it from there as a giveaway.

ha, no, I just looked.
but I have the first one on GoG.
must have missed that giveaway.

and I think I don't actually have the steam version of the first one myself, I think that's my cousin (who is on my family share)

Neat that Styx will be the next freebies, hope some folks actually play them. But I feel like it might hurt the sales of the next? Like anyone who doesn't care that much (to not have any yet) will just get these for a rainy day/whenever they feel like playing something like that over buying the next one.

The first Styx was the first and last game I played on my PS4.
When I bought the PS4, I decided to play a PS Plus game and tried Styx, but then I bought a couple games so moved off it.
Then just before getting the PS5, I was trying to decide what would be the last game I play on the PS4 and randomly selected that before realising it was the first one I played.

Anyway, random story. Must play the second one soon.

Gracias

Sometimes I buy a game on Steam sale that I completely forgot I already have for free from Epic. Then I don't get around to playing either copy.

I did load up Fortnite one night though to play the Simpsons map. Wasn't a terrible time.

I actually uninstalled the Epic store version of Fortnite the day the Xbox store version went online 🤣

This is me.

It's most people and they know it. It's intentional. They needed a way to get folks to build up a library and lock into the eco system.

It's the only way they can combat the dominate position steam has in the long run… maybe.

I've bought a few games there myself as it was just cheaper to do so.

But my catalogue is about 99% free too.

the Xbox store versions of games are far better.

1) family sharing (doesn't apply here cuz f2p, but it applies to every paid title)

2) I don't need to start a launcher as... windows is the launcher lol, and the epic launcher is insanely slow and laggy

3) it has cross save with Xbox (meaning my controller settings get synced, which is not the case on the Epic store version)

4) auto updates without having to have the epic launcher running

I only bought Blades of Fire there and that's because it wasn't on Steam.

99% are freebies though.

I mostly game on Linux and launch their games through Heroic Games Launcher so I even bypass their app/launcher, lmao. ResilientBanana ResilientBanana

I only launcher it for 5 minutes to see if OptiScaler works and it works so I can use FSR4 though, lmao.
