I didn't mean that they literally had nothing to show. They obviously had to show something but it certainly wasn't a build of the game. Looking at the footage from E3 it looks like the same unity sandbox test bed app they used to make the kickstarter video which is just an app some one made that let's you throw in a character models and dick around with. They couldn't build a game with that.They were showing the game at E3.
Anyway, I think this was a case of severe mismanagement and ambitions way beyond both the budget and their ability. Their PR since has been piss poor, but I don't think it makes much sense as a scam. They have many channels, several of which have over a million subscribers. This seems like an awfully dumb way to go about profiting an amount of money that they likely make in one month from YouTube revenue alone.
