Exactly 2 Months away from the Xbox 360 launch

Agent Icebeezy

Welcome beautful toddler, Madison Elizabeth, to the horde!
I've never anticipated something like this in a long time, if ever. The euphoria of it. 2 months from today, a lot of us will be freezing our asses off in the frigid cold, travelling through the dingy back door corridors of malls everywhere checking our pagers, phones, and watches. Telling the stores to check their time because they are slow. You will find yourself amongst other gamers like yourself. They fall into various sub-categories, but they are still a part of you. The one guy in line who talks l33t talk to anyone who will listen. The guy who drags his girl to stand in line with him. I've still yet to figure out the motives behind that. Maybe to brag and say, I got games and a girl. People take their handheld devices to pass by the time. I plan on taking my PSP. At the Halo 2 launch, I watched a guy play one of those Nokia handhelds, I couldn't stifle the laughter, nor did I want too. Also, 90% of the line seemingly is a Gamefaqs author. :lol Or so they say........

New hardware launches bring forth excitement matched by few things to me. I couldn't get out of work for the PS2 launch, I couldn't get out for the Xbox launch. The GC was on a Sunday, so I was there. That was a lame ass launch. Not in the manner that it sold, but the characters in line with me. The Halo 2 wait felt alive. People saying they were this and that in Halo1, bragging rights of course. Some guy was watching Red vs Blue in line. The GC launch was quiet. Looking back at the launch though. I can understand though. That shit was pitiful. I made a beeline to my friend's house after the launch, I woke him up. I'm like, I got the new Gamecube, he told me to get that fuck ass shit out of his house. Not even in my possession 10 minutes, it was already disowned by someone.

I'm rambling, but I can't wait for that day. My wife is going out with her sister and taking our twin daughters with her and my brother in law is going to waste the day away. My wife was against this at first, because I don't play violent games in front of them. Normally, she wins the arguments. I gave the 'fuck is wrong with you' look. After that, she co-signed my actions for said date. My friends will hop on Live and we will do some Co-op together in the various games. I still haven't decided what will get played first. I played Rogue Leader first, because it was the most obvious choice if you wanted to see next-gen graphics. My brother in law only manages to kill himself in Halo 2, so FPS games might be a no-go.

Enough about me, what are you guys plans for November 22nd?

God your threads suck.

Oh, uh, I'll be doing nothing on November 22nd. But I hope the EUPHORIA of it all rubs off on me. I'm no show for all next-gen system launches. Unless Rev launches at like 199, then it's cheap enough that I might show. Maybe.

Don't worry, Agent, few weeks and OFFICIAL XBX360 THREAD will be up. All information world 'round, gush gush gush.

For you, the day Xbox 360 graces your household will be the most important day of your life. But for me, it will be Tuesday.

I have plenty other days I'd consider 'more important' Also, I rarely make threads. I just comment in them.

Besides, I'm sure more than a few of you will be the same way for the PS3 launch

look its the proverbial turds in the punch bowl, shocking - go bitch in another thread

anyway, i will be there on opening night looking to pick up pd0, kameo - pgr 3 if it makes it and probably one more game

I cant believe im getting hyped for another console launch. Every fucking gen i tell my self im not gonna get hyped im gonna wait till a price drop...blah blah blah it never works.

My wife luckily does not mind it much. Just like she enjoys buying shoes and clothes i like buying video games :)

My plans for that day do not necessarily involve getting an Xbox 360 at the moment, although that may change in the near future (not really likely though)...

I'll get an Xbox 360 sometime after it's launched. When that will be... I don't know at this moment.

I won't comment negatively about the thread cause I'm really excited for the 360 launch as well. I'm not biased towards any hardware, but since I will end up with at least 2, I get hyped when the time is near. Right now I'm counting down to the 22nd, and it will be a great day, same goes for the next launch. The more you visit sites like GAF, the harder the wait becomes as well. You see media, you read user impressions, and you want to try it yourself.

I'll be playing all my new DS and PS2 games that I get instead of 360 and be laughing at people who anticipated 360 this much.

And with that, back onto my ignore list.

I will definitely be picking up the 360 at launch. I can't wait. I'm sure I'll see a lot of the same people that were in line for Halo 2. THAT was a fun night.

But what about those next-gen graphics, you freakin' commie?
I'm sure looking at screenshots and videos will probably be just as much fun as playing the first gen of games so they can die

I'll be playing Final Fantasy XII, thank you very much.

NOTE: The above is NOT an anti-X360 post. I simply won't be getting one at launch, and I will be playing a demo of FF XII. Nothing more than that.

I'll be going green thinking of our american brothers while waiting another 10 days for the UK launch.

I'm really excited about this one. The last time I was this hyped was for the N64 launch. It's gonna be awesome.
It'll probably be a midnight launch over here and I doubt i'll get much sleep that night.
Better book the next day off work now while i'm thinking about it. :)

I was thinking of importing a U.S. system, but I think now I am just going to wait for the Japanese release, since the system bundle will be cheaper, and hopefully the games I want will be out. No DOA4 at launch = No sale.

I just noticed public 360 hype today. Stickers and signs. People pre-ordering and trading in. People outside of game sections mentioning it.

It makes me a little sad. This is the first gen that I don't care. I'm not buying the hype, and I'm not feeling anything for any games on the next gen systems.

I'm getting too old for this shit apparantly. I'd rather sit here and read people bitch about games than actually play them. :lol

I guess I'll stick with what I have and hope for a spark, and if one doesn't come-have fun guys. :)

I have a small problem with the launch 'cos I'm most likely moving to my parents house for christmas. This means that I'll have to play X360 with a regular TV (and after christmas I'll have to get someone to drive me back home with the console). OTOH I'm getting my tax returns early december.

1. Wait in-line from 6am at Walmart and get it when the store opens.
2. Rush home.
3. Feverishly unwrap the system.
4. Insert Ninja Gaiden Black
5. Have the best Ninja gaming day all November while not losing hard earned save file.

I'm looking forward to it but I don't exactly count the days for console launches like I use-I guess cause I've been to these launches since the the 32X(not counting the 3DO,and shit like Phantom ofcourse.)

I'll be there come the 22nd though. One thing I fucking hate is midnight launches because I'm as dead as a door knob by the time I'm home with the console.

I really think that this year I'm going to just buy it,then hit the sack knowing that when I awaken it'll be like Christmas morning for a 10 year old. I can't play any games in the wee morning hours for shit nowdays, damn it'd be great to be 15 and no worries all over again.:b

I really am excited for the launch because there are around 3,maybe 4 games I'm looking forward to alot.

Kameo
The Outfit
Oblivion
and PGR3 (if it arrives for launch, then this'll be four.)

The rest of the launch games I'll rent eventually but really I'm just looking for more PGR3 racing goodness, and a good honest to god adventure or rpg that can keep me glued for sometime. That would rock this launch so hard. I know that with PGR3 it will deliver, and I'm pretty sure that either Kameo,or Oblivion will do the other half for me,hopefully both do it. If that happens then I'll be in total post launch gaming paradise.

On november 22nd I'll be peacefully grumbling that it's one and a half week to go until launch and not 5 months like last time. :)

I've had like AUD$10 on it for a couple of days now, so I might get it at launch. (Since I live in Australia, there was still space on the first shipment list here, not too sure if it's the same everywhere else in the country though) But if I don't feel like going through all the hassle, I probably won't really care too much. So, if I do get it, it'll probably be a 90% impulse buy for the first taste of next-gen.

I have been thinking of the several games I'd want at launch: Ridge Racer 6, Perfect Dark Zero and Ghost Recon 3. (maybe Oblivion as well, but I'll probably just settle for the PC version) Yeah, that's pretty much it.

One of the few good things to come out of that horrible SF movie... Raul Julia had some funny ass lines as Bison.

I still haven't figure it out what is the title of the game you mentioend it.
Gear of war???

not bothering with the midnight launch. 360 is paid off in full, and i plan on strolling into gamestop around 5:30pm after i get off work to pick it up.

if Oblivion makes launch, i'll have something to play. if not, well, i'll open it and hook it up, fuck around in the menu's/settings, transfer over my Live account, see what xbox games i have that actually work in the fucking thing.

and then go back to playing Guitar Hero

It really sounds like you want to cry.

And totally hypocritical. I bet he was just as excited for DS, and soon will display just as much enthusiasm for the rev.

Dude, Microsoft announced that they plan to cut the price annually. Why don't you just wait a few years and get the system for the half the price?

I suppose I'll be scheduling a day of vacation for the night of the 21st (I work from 8pm to 7am) so that I can get in line at Wal-Mart and make sure to get one. Gotta use those vacation days at some point anyway, right?

Ive been burned on too many console launches to bother with the x360 at least until they bundle in the HDD for a 299 price.

Same goes for the PS3, as Im sure it will follow the PS2 pattern of shit launch.

Same with Revolution, as I got the feelings that it mights haves a DS like draught.

I'm just going to wait and see on all the big three's launches this time.

The PS2 launched REALLY burned me.

You were misinformed...

I'm semi-excited at this point. I doubt i'll be participating in any midnight launch stuff. Probably will just pick it up Tuesday morning or somethin.
