Welcome beautful toddler, Madison Elizabeth, to the horde!
I've never anticipated something like this in a long time, if ever. The euphoria of it. 2 months from today, a lot of us will be freezing our asses off in the frigid cold, travelling through the dingy back door corridors of malls everywhere checking our pagers, phones, and watches. Telling the stores to check their time because they are slow. You will find yourself amongst other gamers like yourself. They fall into various sub-categories, but they are still a part of you. The one guy in line who talks l33t talk to anyone who will listen. The guy who drags his girl to stand in line with him. I've still yet to figure out the motives behind that. Maybe to brag and say, I got games and a girl. People take their handheld devices to pass by the time. I plan on taking my PSP. At the Halo 2 launch, I watched a guy play one of those Nokia handhelds, I couldn't stifle the laughter, nor did I want too. Also, 90% of the line seemingly is a Gamefaqs author. :lol Or so they say........
New hardware launches bring forth excitement matched by few things to me. I couldn't get out of work for the PS2 launch, I couldn't get out for the Xbox launch. The GC was on a Sunday, so I was there. That was a lame ass launch. Not in the manner that it sold, but the characters in line with me. The Halo 2 wait felt alive. People saying they were this and that in Halo1, bragging rights of course. Some guy was watching Red vs Blue in line. The GC launch was quiet. Looking back at the launch though. I can understand though. That shit was pitiful. I made a beeline to my friend's house after the launch, I woke him up. I'm like, I got the new Gamecube, he told me to get that fuck ass shit out of his house. Not even in my possession 10 minutes, it was already disowned by someone.
I'm rambling, but I can't wait for that day. My wife is going out with her sister and taking our twin daughters with her and my brother in law is going to waste the day away. My wife was against this at first, because I don't play violent games in front of them. Normally, she wins the arguments. I gave the 'fuck is wrong with you' look. After that, she co-signed my actions for said date. My friends will hop on Live and we will do some Co-op together in the various games. I still haven't decided what will get played first. I played Rogue Leader first, because it was the most obvious choice if you wanted to see next-gen graphics. My brother in law only manages to kill himself in Halo 2, so FPS games might be a no-go.
Enough about me, what are you guys plans for November 22nd?
