2. Result? No sound on XSX coming from Sony PlayStation 5 Pulse 3D Wireless Headset, so don't even bother.

Xbox has encrypted audio which needs a different chip. That's why the xbox version of the arctis nova 7 headset works on both, it has the xbox chip.

Never tried it on Xbox. You'd probably have to use wired. However, it does work on PC with the wireless dongle. Mic, mute, and volume controls all function correctly.
 
It's just a pair of stereo headphones...

edit: Oh I see, yeah their wireless dongle sucks

Proprietary tech for stuff like this (headsets, hard drive, etc) is 100% nonsense. Controllers make sense. Imagine if...apple airpods can only be used on iphones
