I thought Will Smith was publicizing that Chris doesn't want to see him so that he can eventually be like "Hey I learned my lesson, it's not my fault he doesn't want to forgive me" to almost shift the blame onto Chris. There is definitely a (small but vocal) contingent of people who are probably on Smith's side.

That will probably be his next step but right now he's basically the kid complaining "are we there yet" on a trip.

There's definitely a hint of that plotline starting up though. Perhaps he suspects Chris Rock will leave him hanging for a long time, which he should as there's only one thing Will Smith wants from him and it's his endorsement/forgiveness.

Presumably the only reason he did it in the first place was because he thought he would get away with it (ie Chris would not fight back, would laugh it off and/or forgive him easily). He wouldn't have done it if (I know it wouldn't happen but) Joe Rogan was the one hosting it. Rogan would beat the shit out of Smith.

I don't know about that, but he clearly thought he was above the other guy. If the guy was The Rock, Joe Rogan or someone he didn't know well it might have been different.

His team claims that the slap also came with prior animosity between the two and precisely because they know each other, we'll probably never know but there's probably a crazy reality show antagonistic vibe from his former and current group of friends in relation to Jada Smith. And he's probably defensive of it because he chose that life but the bitch is self centered and, well, mean.

Ezra is well protected, as with many in Hollywood. When you have such influence, money and connections and a stupid fanbase defending you, people can get away with almost anything. It is disgraceful.

You just pay millions of dollars to keep people quiet who may not want the stress of going to court and the publicity.

It is no surprise the mental health is being used to get sympathy. We joke about pronouns but it is a distraction to discourage people calling out the human garbage that is Miller.

It's been mentioned this is a reflection of the types and supporters who are some of the worst in society who contribute nothing.

Several years ago we were at Disneyland and were walking behind this couple having a fight. The girlfriend was yelling at the guy to apologize for something, and my friends started to impersonate that episode of South Park whispering "apologiiiize". The guy obviously got the reference and started to bust up laughing, and that his made his girlfriend even more pissed off. Poor guy.
