F*** this: Mr. Driller DS's multiplayer isn't single cart

color me underwelmed, especially since Ridge Racer DS does support single cart multi.

wtf Namco?

Not sure if I'm still getting it, I really wanted better multiplayer games.

Everyone with a DS should buy Mr Driller anyways :D

Mr Driller is obviously too complex to support single cart multiplayer.

Color me unsurprised, I doubt any developer except a few of Nintendo's internal teams makes use of the single cart multiplayer feature.

Ridge Racer DS does, and it's alot more graphic entense than Mr.Driller.

I guess I'm doomed to wait for March 1st for Bomberman DS for good multiplayer. I hope that supports single cart.

my other friends with DS's are dead broke though, and they don't know what Mr. Driller is :(

well why not slap them upside their fool heads and EDUCATE

clearly they are sending a message.

"Everyone should own Mr. Driller."

I approve this message.

Wait, where did you see this? Somebody on the board translated the Famitsu text from a week ago and said that it has single-cart multiplayer.

You really don't think this feature is going to be popular among publishers, do you?

Heard a rumor that Mr. Driller is only going to be limited to 2,500 copies when it comes out here. Can anyone with sources at Namco Hometek confirm?

This news saddens me quite a bit. :( Oh well, the multiplayer I had seen in videos wasn't very exciting to me in the long run (racing.. that's it?). I'm all hyped for the single player modes though.

'Tis something I read 'round the way. If you're interested in it, for certain, I would definitely pre-order a copy. I have two on hold, just in case. This is not a game I want to miss, and it's definitely something I can see Namco holding out on so as not to take a bath.

dude, honestly, dude, this is a 1) portable 2) action puzzle game 3) in the eye of a launch storm; of COURSE they're going to take a bath, and the stores will be the ones filling the fucking tub! 2500 sounds like a bullshit number for any game in north america, anyway.

It is a rather small handheld launch, though, at least from the software perspective, and Mr. Driller seems to be one of the games that's using both screens and the DS's touch capabilities for to good use. I'm not saying it will sell through the roof, but there's a decent chance that it could gather a small following, especially with the series being cool among the 1337core groups, and Namco might be playing it ultra conservative. I didn't say it was a fact, just something that I read. If people want it, they have been forewarned.
