Go to hell. I'm half Turkish. My grandfather knew people in the Turkish mob, and I think i'll give him a call about you.
Heh. I've known Serbians who swore that the Kosovo War was all fault of the goddamn Albanians, too. Glad to know your ancestry is more important than, you know, basic human rights and self-determination of nations.

Edit: Though for clarification, I didn't mean fight Turkey *militarily*, just diplomatically, with maybe a little good ol' LBJ arm-twisting. Losing the Kurdish regions would also help pave the way for EU admission for Turkey.

It just really pisses me off that knocking off Saddam leaves the Kurds on the verge of domination by the Shi'ite Iraqi majority when they've been comparatively autonomous for over a decade.

First of all, Al Qaeda is anti-Baathist, and secondly, this is not like the situation with Al-Sadr, that told people to attack the US troops.

Al Qaeda has been attacking innocent people as well. So in comparison to the situation with Al Sadr, who did need to be consulted and not ignored, you had someone who felt that the invaders should leave, as compared to someone (Zarqawi) who is also anti-Shia and won't hesitate to kill Shia Muslims (as was the case in Afghanistan).

So my point is that negotiation is most likely something that Zarqawi doesn't want anyways. Sure, ask. Islamic belief dictates that negotiation should always occur during a war. But we all know Islamic Al Qaeda is...

Anyways, I really doubt he would be willing to negotiate, meaning that it is not an option.

Sure you do. If you kill EVERYBODY, you get the guerillas too, no?

The US would have nuked Iraq in 2003 if total annihilation of the country was the goal.

But they have other plans for the country. :)
