Fake Admiral

Deeply odd to take an event that's about expressing gratitude to others for the sacrifices they made and make it about yourself while claiming you've done things you haven't. But unfortunately, it's something you read about happening a fair bit.

I know of "stolen valour" but I didn't know it was a crime here, turns out it's only illegal if you did it for fraudulent reasons which he doesn't seem to have done.

Edit, there seems to be a different law which forbids the wearing of other peoples medals to pretend you are in the military so that's something to charge him with.

Annoying that they've blurred the guy's face out. Somebody could easily verify it by saying, actually that's Rear Admiral Dave who I served with in Gallipoli, but if he's guilty of being a dickhead then he doesn't deserve to have his identity protected.

A few years ago I got a loyalty card from Hotel Chocolat, and you could choose your own title from a large list - everything from Mr to Sir. I think Rear Admiral was one of them. I chose Commander, like James Bond.
