Revolutionary Girl Utena 21
Nanami got face planted so often already and is still unlikable and selfish as in the beginning. Any kind of character development did pass around her. If she at least had retained her hair from her BR episode. Thinking about it she deserves some NTR, something from Nagare Ippons feather. *snap* Even sadder, Touga is a playboy, everybody knows it and still tries to make love to him.

Me too, me too.

That could be asked about 99% of anime harems.
Maburaho's way of explaining that was that the protagonist's magicks were so goddamn powerful his babies would be like Gandalf or Dumbledore or some shit.

The Nanami episodes are the best. >:(

Edit:
It's official, Wheelchair Moe is part of Shoe's Harem. What do they see in this guy?

Main Character status is undeniable charm.

Honestly, that's still one of the better harem explanations. Super awesome magic babies!

I don't know why I'm still watching this Shitty Crown 10: Shu needs to be NTR'd. Inori needs to be NTR'd. Friendzoned girl is already getting NTR'd. Gai better be NTR'd too. Oh and Daryl.

This show has so much potential for NTR it is astounding. It's the only salvageable thing about the script. Stupid stuff happens. Characters are still mopey. The world fucking sucks. Fuck this cartoon.

n.

One might almost wonder you are still watching? Surely there's more enjoyable things you could be doing with your twenty five minutes? I drop stuff I dislike that much.

You should have read my review on the show and saved yourself the pain.

It hasn't gotten to the point where it physically pains me to watch it (like Bakemonogatari) or that it bores me so much I browse GAF on my phone while I let it play in the background. Plus, Hare is way too cute.

Ugh. Bandai's online store had Oreimo "in stock" last Friday so I ordered, and my status said it was "shipped or in final processing" until today. I e-mailed them yesterday to find out what's going on with the order. Today they refunded my money and said it's not available. God dammit.

Bandai sound like a nice bunch of guys.

Stalker what have you done to animeGAF?! As the current and only ruling ojousama I demand you to answer me. I also need my butler to ask this question since I can't be seen doing such a peasant like thing for myself.

*rings bell*

I'd say the power might go to you head, but it's clearly too late.

They did you a favor.

*rings bell*

Butler put this peasant in his place!

At your service, ojou-sama.

*puts white gloves on*

Jexhius, I'm afraid I'm going to half to ask you back away from ojou-sama to prevent any... consequences.
I admit this is kinda fun RP.

Guilty Shit - 10

5 seconds in and Shu elevates to being one of the worse main characters ever.

Gai with the most disapointing scene ever
the bullets were blank
.

Shu further pushing to earn the biggest dick award along with the worst character award.

I must have some serious self loathing that I'm unaware of, why do I keep watching this shit.

I'm glad other people keep watching Guilty Crown. It makes me feel better about myself.

It's hardly a shocking revelation to discover that we have a lot of masochists in here. After all, previous experience has taught me that and the last iteration of this thread was called "bad shows and self-hating nerds" but still the extent to which people persist in watching Guilty Crown surprises me.

I guess a show has to be something like Blood C or Horizon for some of you folks to consider dropping it. A mix of the boring and the incomprehensible, perhaps?

So why carry on watching? Does Guilty Crown some how connect with a part of you that likes to see a terrible show? Or are you waiting for something spectacularly stupid to happen?

If anime were to be believed, the most boring, cowardly, indecisive men are the sexist men on the planet. :-/

At least the blond chick wants Guy.
You know, it's kind of funny, "sexiness" is more of a visceral function than an in depth one. I mean, is a model considered sexy even though all you have is a picture? But then what happens when you learn he's boring, cowardly, and indecisive? It also says something interesting socially about what role looks play with women, that as long as he's a nice piece of ass, she'd want to lay it as long as he's not abusive. The only reason Shu's not getting any is because he's not as sexually aggressive as a more interesting, brave, and decisive man would be to his harem.

Case and point: see Makoto from School Days. The entirety of his transformation has to do with him gaining confidence and a spine to wield it with, to
disastrous
effect. So the real question is, what do you want? Would you rather an arrogant douche who is neither indecisive nor cowardly, or do you want the standard moron with APS? Or do you want someone presumably like you? Interesting implications all around either way.

Me too :3

What? You want a pairing that's just absurd and makes no sense? Watch nadia: Secret of Blue Water... last 30 seconds, out of NOWHERE.

Oh man, I nearly fell out of my chair just remembering that (to be fair, I was also coughing).

That's a real GAINAX ending.

I'm feeling a little grim and so I was wondering if 7Th, Duckroll, or any of those folks who keep on top of things have a list of all the people who have departed from Madhouse and Gainax over the last year or so. It would be kind of interesting to see how many figures have left for other studios and ventures. I can't remember all the different articles.
I guess I've only seen the smutty version. I can't imagine them taking that super long sex scene out of Pop Chaser...you wouldn't really have much left once the licking's gone.

edit - wait, I read this post totally wrong. lulz. time for bed everyone.
The important thing is that, either way, there are lesbians.

I get caught in a horrible cycle.

1. Give anime 3 episode chance.
2.
3. Watched more episodes than there are left might as well finish it.

Shu's not getting any because he's a grade A dick as the last episode recently highlighted.

Un-Go - 10

That one entertaining episode was a flash in the pan, I'm not even sure what type of mystery I'm supposed to be looking at anymore.

I refuse to believe that all of you people throwing stones here were actually actively anticipating my Yami impressions.

I think they were actively anticipating your suffering, which is closely related to you watching Yami (and presumably writing about it in this thread).

Infinite Stratos
No, it's time ti start judging damnit. I'm judging all parties involved. The fans for buying the crap and the creators for making the crap! Even if one liked the basic Infinite Stratos premise(why God?) theirs nothing saying it had to be done so poorly.
Look, I know IS is a pretty bad show, but there is worse out there, much worse. There are plenty of shows that are both worse and a lot less amusing. Sure, those don't usually sell as much as IS did -- and yes, I do think IS probably sold more than it deserves to -- but still... it could be worse.

If Maken-Ki sells those numbers, now that, THAT would be the worse I'm talking about.

Why? Has she done something likable? Is her personality charming? You're not saying she's popular just because she's Japanese are you, you calling those fans that choose Houki Francophobes?
Sure, Houki's a pretty much generic tsundere childhood friend character. If you like that character type, you'll like her. I think that character type is okay. It's not the best, but not the worst either for sure.

Haha, I actually expected it.
What, that I liked Yoriko, or that I wouldn't change my avatar?

The Yoriko avatar's still available for anyone brave enough to don it! Join Firehawk and I!

It seems someone took it. :)

(Anyone going to have an Aoi avatar?)

[Fate/Zero 10] - Time Travellin' Edition

This episode has been mentioned as the 'moe' or 'hnnghh' episode by which made me think that it was just going to be some kind of 'young girls eating cake' story. However, that's not really the case. Yes, it does have a little bit of that but I feel that's just a result of focusing on Rin because, well, she's a young girl, what else could the story be like?

Sadly, nothing really interesting or noteworthy happens throughout the whole episode. I feel that they're trying to do a lot of character work for Rin in a single episode and it doesn't really work.
Here's Rin trying her best to train, oh wait she needs more practice. Oh now she's in school, defending Kotone, that's nice I guess. Apparently she's smart andhelpful but a bit too inquisitive oh and she's a little bit plucky. That's all rather...generic, I'm sad to say. I can't really claim that I gained much of a feel for her character because a lot of that stuff was condensed into a short sequence.

Later on Rin goes looking for Kotone (who was saved from Rin by bullies earlier in the episode). Who is Kotone, again? Does she have a defined character? What's her relationship with Rin like? Do they share hobbies and interests besides being the same class? Why should I care that she's in danger?
There's just not enough time spent on any of these issues to get invested in what's going on.

If I'm you'll allow me to be superficial for a moment, the art and designs in this episode looked pretty good. I really appreciate how a wide variety of backgrounds, materials, surfaces, objects and items were drawn and animated well making the whole world feel very uniform and reliable. Of course, the CG cars were there to let everyone down but they were the only thing that really stood out.
