Have you seen Haibane Renmei?
You should definately watch Mushishi as it's one of the best anime series out there. If you liked Lain you should check out the other stuff that ABe worked on like NieA_7, Haibane Renmei, Texhnolyze and
Apparently, they said during a TBS talk show "Akko ni omakase" that sales of K-On merchandising (I guess this should include BDs but not the movie) has reached 28 billion yen (that's 360 million USD).
Anime isn't dead guys. Its a K-On world and we're only living in it.
I wonder what the Nichijou merchandise sales are like.
It'll probably be like the difference between K-ON's walmart profits vs. Nichijou's kmart-esque margins.

What they said. I would also recommend, if you liked Kon's emphasis on social commentary, the movie Colorful, which came out last year. It's not a Kon movie but it is in some ways similar with its use of fantastic devices to frame a dramatic story.

I actually don't see the creepiness tbh. I find alot of anime completely fucked up but unless you really really try, its hard to find anything offensive and/or outright pandering in K-On.

Liked the little contrast between Rider and Tokiomi near the end - the latter failing to press his advantage despite possessing a surfeit of them is going to be his downfall, if that should come to pass. As Gil said earlier in the show, the man is a fucking bore.
As for Rider himself (and Waver too, I suppose), how can you not love him?

To be fair, she's only a minor side character.
Everything about the 10th episode of Guilty Crown just kinda proves that this should would be better if Shu wasn't involved in it. Shame too, because there are points when I genuinely start to like him. Then they go make him do something extremely stupid to reset or stall his character development.
Inori's not much better, but they don't keep resetting her character every two episodes, and she has the added benefit of being an enigma.

Hence the benefit of an being an enigma. Still, she's more likeable than Shu at this point. The show's ambiguous portrayal of Asperger's Syndrome is starting to get insulting too.
He's so bad that my belief of Shiro from FSN being the worst ever is waning.
Well you could watch Tsubasa Chronicle and then wish it did end.

Heartcatch Precure! Fashion Show in the Capital of Flowers... Fo' Realz!?:
Most spin-off movies to long-running telly series feel like nothing but an episode of the show on a big screen. This one... is just the same. It even goes to the point of introducing a new character to become the centre focus of the entire flick. Fashion Show's high point, however, is that Olivier is a microcosm of each of the Precure's character growth from the series -the scenes with him spending time with the girls and them opening up to him are beautifully done, certainly helped by the sublime background art of Paris.
Fashion Show is quite beautiful. Colours are vibrant yet never obnoxious, and the animation is just incredible all of the time. Even the use of stock footage from the show doesn't detract from the overall quality, thanks to the fact that said stock footage was gorgeous to begin with (I certainly haven't got tired of watching Giant Women punching the shit out of bad guys). I had the fortune of watching this movie on my new HD TV (Regulus is going next-gen!) and it was honestly a delightful experience.
This is just a fun children's movie. I watched it with my imouto who is barely into animu and we both were smiling through its whole run. The deus ex machina at the climax had her rolling her eyes (she didn't know who Coppé was), but I got the impression she managed to sympathise with, at the very least, Tsubomi's budding relationship with Olivier. The other three of the main cast get sadly sidetracked because of this, but what they lack in script importance they make up in comedy relief and enthralling fight choreography. I wish it had been a bit longer in order to expand a bit more on the villain's motivations, but it might have worked for the best to keep it short. The seventy minutes it lasts are packed as they are and there's nary a dull moment in them. It might not be a film I recommend to non-animu fans, but even those should be able to find something to like in it. 4/5

One cannot help but feel drawn into the pretty dresses even if you don't give two shits about fashion. Most importantly, it presents the hobby/career as an truthful way of having fun and expressing oneself. Themes like "it's the inside what's important" are prevalent in children entertainment, but Heartcatch goes even further and claims that "how you look doesn't make you, but who you are shouldn't detract you from what you look!". For a cartoon whose main intention is to sell toys it is a very honest and welcomed message, unlike, say, Pokémon's forced lessons of friendship.

You're doing it wrong if you're LOOKING for creepiness in K-ON. It's just about the only show in the genre which has always gone out of it's way to be as minimally creepy as possible, many things in the show actually had creepy that was in the original 4koma carefully scrubbed out.
They're airing this show on The Disney Channel in Japan, for Chrissakes. Disney can and has approved of this show. Disney.

Every other episode seems to emphasize how hot out it is. And shorts are for boys, not men.

But yeah, a cliffhanger for a movie would be enough for me to say "fuck dis shit".

I always saw the episodes as represented by the path in-between the stations, since the title moves from one to the next each time it's shown. Not that I'm discounting the possibility of a movie/epilogue, but I don't think the eyecatch is proof of anything like that.
On that note, simply being able to finally see the "end of the line" in the eyecatch (as it were) was pretty neat, as another way to show that the series is almost over.
