Fallout 4 Pip Boy Edition

Hrm, does anyone who has a Pip-Boy Edition pre-ordered from Best Buy properly have the 500 extra points for the $10 Rewards Cert added to their account or in a pending status? Mine is only showing the regular cash points and not the 500 "Victory Can Be Preordered Bonus" that the $10 bonus games give now.

Have you ever had a problem getting it by street date before?

My UPS route doesn't arrive to my house till 8-10 PM so that sorta sucks but oh well. Amazon hasn't let me down for a street date delivery even when it ships a day before. Granted there is a amazon center in my state so that could have something to do with it.
 
Every big game release I see the same comments from people getting worked up when Amazon hasnt shipped yet. Mine hasn't shipped yet, but they have yet to fail me and I'm very confident I'll have mine on Tuesday. Amazon is very good at communicating if they can't meet the original promise and there's no need to adjust shipping methods. Just sitback, relax, and turn on the text notification so you can receive a message when they ship rather than worry yourself all day checking the status.
 
I feel like it's still a bit silly for them to wait until the last minute when they don't have to. I mean it's not like if I got the PC pip-boy edition early I could actually play it until the street date seeing as how you need to unlock it through steam.

It's easier for them to control the arrival date to make sure games don't arrive early and break street date.
 
Best Buy shipped for me... and I have no recollection of even ordering this from Best Buy. Couldn't even find a receipt in my email. Weird.
 
I am nearly done with Amazon at this point. I went through a bunch of bs with them over my mgs collectors edition. Now come to find my fallout pipboy won't even ship until Tuesday even though I paid for next day and ordered it back in June. Email response from them mentions being unavailable then they ask me to cancel the order and then they'll take the shipping off. Somehow completely ignoring that it's a preorder that is sold out entirely and has been for months. They didn't answer any question as to why it wasn't shipping until release date. For more background I'm in Canada and had to order from Amazon us to even get it ordered in general. Now the Amazon us item page is suddenly showing that it doesn't ship to Canada also which just showed up as change today from what I can tell. I'm seriously about to lose my shit.

Surely it'd cost more to ship overnight versus shipping several days earlier.

Changed to Shipping Today now. Yeah, my PS4 standard copy and my guide still say "Pre-ordered" but I expect they're going to ship all of that together in the same box at the end of the day.
 
Anyone know if Game UK orders will get it tomorrow or on Tuesday? Mine shipped on Friday but it says something that suggests Royal Mail will hold it until Tuesday, hoping they wouldn't though.
 
Well Amazon has apparently delayed my pipboy un til the 12th, the delivery date has changed and it has not yet shipped.

Good thing I have one already shipped from Best Buy arriving on Tuesday or I'd be pissed.

Damnit, I better get mine launch day... I was one of the first to order one (I literally ordered one within minutes of Amazon offering them).

Royal Mail will likely be holding it back. Publishers regularly make this request to GAME, especially when its a huge release like this

I realized I hadn't cancelled mine from amazon and made sure to do that.

No interest in the pip boy and no interest in scalping it, just pre ordered on a whim when announced.
 
I don't think it'll be as easy as it might seem to flip one on ebay, not for a healthy profit anyway. There must be nearly a thousand of these listed on ebay and only a handful over $200 actually have bids. There seems to still be lots under $200 with no bids at all.

True. But if you hold onto one it might change. Christmas is right around the corner and that could drive up demand so this might be the low end right now.

Yeah, was best to sell them back in late June, early July, saw a few go for $500+ on Ebay.

Those buyers must be super pissed right about now.

GAME are sending Pip Boy Edition via DPD and handing it to them on Monday.

I could be wrong, but I don't see the Pip Boy ever being cheaper than it was at preorder, unless they restart the production lines.

The last Fallout released five years ago. There's going to be quite a few players that are going to be introduced to the series with 4. I was just introduced to the series with 3 in May of this year. I never knew what a Pip Boy was at that time but ever since the first day I was playing it I knew I wanted my own so when the Pip Boy edition for 4 was announced a month later I had to have it. New players will probably be picking up a lot of the scalped Pip Boys, so you might even be able to keep the game and sell the rest.
 
Not meaning to rain on anyone's parade, but i just never get why people are so interested in this kind of stuff. It's just plastic junk.

Sometimes i see these ridiculously detailed action figures in fanshops, made from high quality materials (whatever they are). It's not my thing, but i get that. I get that other people who are into action figures get enthousiastic about that. This, for 60 bucks no less, i really really don't.

Some people see value in an item you don't because of their love for the source material, and it's worth more to them, making it more than "plastic junk" on a personal level.

You're not raining on anybody's parade with your post, it's just digital junk.

I don't get those detailed figures and I think most collector's edition extras are crap. But as I said before, a Pip Boy is different. If Fisher Price released a Pip Boy for 5 year olds, I'd be all over it just as much. It's a piece of Fallout itself, it's something your character wears in every game. It's not a set of pins or socks. If Splinter Cell had a collector's edition with a set of night vision goggles that have the three glowing eye piece thing going on I wouldn't blame people for liking that too.

I pay because I'm a fan of the series. I'm well aware that this is made in a factory and not hand made or anything. I love Fallout and it's the only Pip Boy I can afford.

If I had millions, I'd pay like 6 to 7 figures for someone to actually make me one. That's probably why I don't have millions though haha, I buy junk.
