It's not really that simple. The special edition of Fallout 3 can go for more than it originally cost on ebay. The normal version goes for pennies. If you look after them, you can at least get your money back from Ltd editions if you ever need to sell.

For those that don't have a phone for this, you can usually find an LG Fuel for about $10-$15 on ebay or in Kroger stores. I have a spare one I'll just pop in there and leave it in there.

Seriously, do people actually plan to strap that thing to their arm and go to work/school?
You're going to wear it with your iphone in it around the house for 20 minutes, take it off and put on a shelf and never touch it again.
Possibly put it up on Ebay after 6 months when you realize it literally does nothing but collect dust.
It will be glorious, especially with that high Charisma stat!

It's a pretty good bet that eventually you'll be able to sell these for a little bit of change if you decide you no longer want it.
Honestly I know that I won't use it much. It's a just a neat collector item to me.

I really think both 3 and NV had way better editions.
I pre-ordered this with the option of canceling it later. While it's very cool and I like the case and everything, it isn't a lot of bang for your buck. Then again something that's more cool as a display piece that doubles with the function might be better than a whole bunch of junk I'll never use. Instead it's just like one thing of junk I'll never use.
Would be nice to have an art book or a bunch of replica signs or posters or something from the Fallout universe art style. Kinda like what Wolfenstein: TNO did.
I'll use it while playing. Boost that immersion factor. Maybe for a Halloween costume too- I was drafting plans to make one myself for this year, but now I'll just wait and use it the following year with the rest of the outfit.

Easy fix to be honest but yeah it should have been that way straight out of the box. Weathering this up will be fun.
Actually wouldn't make a bad halloween costume, as all you'd need at that point which is a vault suit, which is easier than, ya know, an ACTUAL working pipboy.

It should work. That's how it worked for me.
Make sure you're not using ghostery or adblock. The GAME website hates them.
I would have bought it if they had a collectors edition with a tin lunchbox like they did for fallout 3. :/ I wish when fallout 3 was coming out I would have know how much I would love the game and universe.

Interesting, Game just updated the image advertising the Pip-Boy edition clearly showing the T-Shirt and the bobblehead - independent of the Fallout club thing....
Usually these editions have "subject to change" or "final product not shown" type clauses so maybe they will add more. Those items would be very welcome editions that would make the purchase feel more worthwhile.
Edit: oh I see.
According to the twitter account, eveyone who pre-orders it will get an email asking them to join up. Apparently, the first 10,000 members gets the t-shirt. Which confuses things even more with the image I posted on the previous page.
