Fallout 4 Pip Boy Edition

So couple of questions about preordering this with Walmart.

First of all, do they charge now or when you pick it up for in-store pick up?

Second, they are listing pick up for January 7th, though I assume that's just because their system haven't updated the dates completely yet?
 
I just pre-ordered the PC version on GAME UK, I haven't got my confermation e-mail yet but it didn't say sold out.

EDIT: I got the confermation. If anyone want's one in the UK go to GAME and get it now.
 
Aw man, thought I had missed out on pre ordering the pip boy edition, all sold out at eb games in Australia. Then my missus surprises me and says she pre ordered one for me in store a few days ago. Best fiancé ever! :D
 
it's back up on Amazon. Xbox PC no PS4.

Edit: By the way, this sold out on Walmart and Target both within hours last night.

Hang onto her mate, she's a keeper! I did a PSA in the Ausgaf thread that the Pipboy edition was up on EB but it was all sold out about half an hour after that so you're damn lucky.
 
Glad I got in on this while it lasted. Ordered as soon as they popped up on Amazon.

My issue with Best Buy pre-orders are that they don't do release day delivery. That might've changed? I haven't ordered from them in years because of that.

I got the Witcher 3 on release day. Picked their cheapest shipping but they even one day aired it so I would get it on time apparently because it literally shipped and then I received it in one day.
 
Thanks, preordered Xbox One version at Amazon. May well not go through with it (I want digital version really), but if I don't I'll post here and see if anyone who missed out wants it at cost price before I cancel.

Think Fallout 3 was the only collector's edition I've ever bought, so nice to maintain the tradition.
 
Does anyone know if gamestop was ever even taking pre orders? The sales reps aren't much help. On the one hand they say the preorder sold out but claim they know of no stores that were taking them. I'm a bit confused.

They tend to take more preorders than they can deliver. My brother and I ran into issues with them in the past. I'd preorder at Best Buy and elsewhere just in case Best Buy fails to deliver.

That would suck but I guess I'll live. Did a little Googling and it looks like they still do not guarantee delivery by release date but there's a fair chance it could be delivered by then.

Fallout's are the best. Fallout 3 and New Vegas are the only ones I still own.
 
Did Bethesda hire the Nintendo amibo marketing team to sell these? I think they made 4 for each country. Yes, I'm a grown ass man and want one for when I take a week vacation at work to play Fallout 4.

I checked the two here in town and they both told me they would not be taking preorders, only online. Maybe some of the stores in larger cities will get some.

Idk man, pre orders went up at about 11 pm-12am EST after the keynote and they didn't sell out until the afternoon of the next day

Plus there have been some restocks and more will happen soon, follow wario64 on Twitter or check cheap ass gamer and you'll see restock alerts

Amiibos are much worse, they sell out within 1-5 minutes if your lucky

Best Buy has done Release Day pre-orders for quite some time now. It started at least a year ago, but some games had it and some didn't. The ones that did had like free express shipping. Then around like either the end of last year or the beginning of this year they changed it so that they have a proper Pre-order Release Day shipping for ALL games and game stuff and I've never had an order not get here on time since then.

It's totally safe to order from Best Buy if you want it Day 1, all game stuff has free Release Day Pre-Order shipping.

Accepting your pre-order but selling it to someone else or simply not stocking it to begin with. Happens quite often. Good luck though. Worst case, Amazon will probably still have some in stock.

You're talking about in store pre-orders. It's much much much safer and reliable to do an online preorder. Think about it. A store gets 3 copies and they sell yours off, you're screwed. Not so much with a warehouse of thousands and no ability to sell it to someone else after they sell out.

No, I'm referring to online pre-orders. Don't make assumptions. Many Best Buy orders have been botched in the past.

i preordered mine through gamestop online.
 
So glad I happened to get one. Was on the way home from the megaton that was Sony's E3 conference, checked Amazon Canada on a whim and managed to snag the PC version.

I believe the weight of the Pip-Boy Edition is about 5 lbs with everything, or a little over 2 kg. Hope that helps.

Wow that's a lot of weight. I'm guessing that's because of the power armor metal case.

No clue. My guess would be French, although I have no idea - I didn't bother to translate the Amazon shopping page.

Every time a friend links me to a NA restock, it's gone by the time I get there.
 
If I were to buy the gamers club at best buy and I already have a preorder online would I be able to add the discount to it? Or am i stuck paying full price?

You're stuck for now. I'd try to wait until it arrives, take it to a physical location and try to return and then rebuy immediately to get the discount.
