Was expecting something better built, but the plastic looks cheap and so does the whole thing to be honest.
It also looks really big and uncomfortable, so i'm quite pleased i ended up not pre ordering.
I'm sure the game will be amazing but paying £100 for it and then having to deal with the amount of inevitable bugs (Looking at you Bethesda) would really annoy me and would end up regretting the purchase.

Kind of disappointed about how it fits after watching some of the unboxing videos on YouTube. It's too loose and not form fitting. They should have had the padding inside be inflatable or something.

It definitely looks different to me there. Mainly due to different lightning etc, but still, when I saw the unboxing video it really struck me as looking quite cheap and plastic-y which I didn't get when I watched the reveal video.
It's Steamworks game so just hit serial key in and start downloading.
Yeah, but I don't know why they didn't use a matte paint job. Doesn't seem like it's an item in the game that ever was shiny, even new. Also, I think the color is slightly off from what I expect of a pip boy.
That being said, I don't think it's changed from what they showed us. I just think we forgot that it was that shiny (I kinda remembered so I wasn't as shocked at the unboxing. It just reminded me on how off it looked).
Ah well, totally not cancelling it. It's a neat enough collectable I want it anyways (mainly cause I'm a huge Fallout fan).
I don't know about the dials but I could have sworn though they said something on it lights up though.
Edit: Just checked out the video of the guy wearing it with the lights turned on. That actually brought my hype up. I'm sure it won't be too loose as it's winter and we don't really keep the house that warm so it will need to go over a sweater anyways.
Cool. Pardon my ignorance, but this will be the first physical PC game I've purchased in about a decade.

Yeah. My issue is that it seems too big/clunky to use in the game and the strap also doesn't seem to be very good... And it's also too ugly to use it as room decoration. The box looks pretty nice though.

I still have an Amazon pipboy edition pre ordered but I'm thinking of canceling it and going with the Best Buy sock edition with the season pass for $67 and then I will still have money left for Yokai watch!

I'm with you. Same reasons I cancelled mine; bought a few CE over the years and regret all but like one.
I thought the build of it looked cheap since it was announced though; it seemed apparent in the promo pics, so shouldn't be a surprise. Looks better in person than I expected though actually.

I purchased mine from amazon.fr and after exchange rate its going to be £98
So take away £50 for the game and im paying £48 for the other bits, pipboy, crate.

I'm not even a collector. But it doesn't seem to be of any value, my iPhone 6+ won't fit in and it doesn't seem like fun to use..
The only thing I currently ponder about is whether I cancel the preorder or keep it and sell it on ebay.

Yeah I never planned on keeping mine in the first place, I just wanted the steelbook. The fact that it comes with the season pass is great though, hopefully I can make all of my money back from selling the pipboy and crate.
From what I've gathered it doesn't come with the season pass, just an advertisement for it.

had it pre-ordered day one and cancelled it immediately after placing the order honestly thinking about it i really don't care that much for collectors editions anymore. i would never use that pip boy, if theres a statue i would never put it on display (hell probably never even open it), if theres a artbook i would look through it once and never touch it again, etc. And for the price thats just not worth it, hell anything over 100 dollars isn't really worth it, 69-89 is more reasonable but still pushing it depending on what comes with it. The only collectors edition i thought was really worth it thinking back was Catherine it came with a shirt, boxers, pillow case, artbook, soundtrack, and i think there was something else all for 79 bucks, but thats just me though...

Well I just officially canceled my Pipboy edition @ amazon. God speed guys! it REALLY hurt to hit that cancel button. My limited gaming budget though would rather spend $120 on Fallout 4 standard and Battlefront Deluxe then just the Pipboy edition.
