So it was released last week but no1 has posted immpressions nor comments. Im getting it next week but Im surprised nobody has said anything.

Anyone has something to say about this game?

God this game is gonna bomb hard....

It seems harder than the first two - I'm thinking it's the ghosts moving a lot more when they get in close.

With your house serving as a fairly frequent break point between forays into the ghost-world, the game seems more about completing a "mission" while using as few resources as possible, as opposed to an ongoing endurance run.

Even though I didn't like Silent Hill 4, I *did* like the presentation of the apartment and the way it steadily decayed. I'm sure they're going for a similar progression here with your house, but so far it just seems so sterile by comparison... this enormous, immaculately clean house, practically empty except an immobile gothic lolita roommate.

Anyway, I mostly get these games for teh scary, and this one delivers much as the others have. Oh, and it seems to be taking a few notes from that horror movie "Pulse" this time around - certainly not a bad thing in my mind.

I was gonna get it but I was trading in from the 3 for 2 TRU deal and they didn't have it. I will post impressions when I find a damn copy.

eh I'm honostly sick of all these damn horror sequals. FF2 was ok, and the reviews of the 3rd one just say it's the same shit.

SH4 and SH3 both weren't all that great either.

I just wish they would've at least made it for next gen and actually put some time into it and maybe freshen up the series.

heard the story is weak in this one... how was part 2's?

I heard that too but I also heard it was great so its pretty subjective I guess.

Part 2 storyline was certainly a good one, and the game IMO was a horror masterpiece

Story weak on this one? that can't be possible
i mean they are tying together the previous stroylines, and the whole camera obscura legacy
of course i'm on the 5th or 6th day so who knows... =P

Got this last week, but I've only just gotten the Camera Obscura, so I ain't too deep into it. However, this thing hasn't grabbed me like either the 1st or 2nd one did almost as soon as I started playing them.

If it means anything I just bought Fatal Frame II

haven't played it yet...hopefully I can overlook the gameplay, this time around

What's to overlook? The game structure is pretty standard, but the combat is the best in the genre.

Just going by the first one, I think the combat is a bit hard due to the 1st person view. It's hard tracking fast moving ghosts and you turn very slow IIRC. It's not really that it had bad controls, it's that combat was scary as fuck because your character is so slow and useless while the ghosts are fast and vicious.

Still need to get around to playing II/III, but FF1 kinda freaked the hell out of me.
